I'm logged in to sync with the most up-to-date version (I think) on both computers, but the bookmarks from my macbook pro will not copy over to the firefox bookmarks on my mac. I've tried about:sync-log, because I saw on another solution that it might give information, but all that comes up it: { } So I am thinking that none of it is working. Please help!

Hi melindybek , You are awesome and already a step ahead! The logs are blank, because by default they are off. If its necessary to turn them on the directions on, instructions of how to to this are at the end.

To check if they are both on the updated version, its possible to check by going to accounts.firefox.com to see if you are logged in. If so, both are updated. If not, how to update: sign in at that address to be on the new one. Toggling the sync may jumpstart it too. Removing the account and adding it back starts a fresh sync, or Tools > Sync Now.

  • How do I turn on sync logs:
  1. Open about:config and turn on: services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess and services.sync.log.logger.engine.bookmarks
  2. Restart Firefox and look at: about:sync-log
  3. Logs and error messages will be located here

Thank you.
