How can I completely remove lightning and start over with a new calandar?

Lightning has gotten screwed up on my system. It shows the list of calendars on the left, but the calendar page itself is blank. It doesn't even shade the weekends. I cannot do anything (even change the view). The task list does the same thing.

I have tried to remove and re-install Lightning. I have also removed lightning, removed the files in the calendar-data directory, deleted all "calendar" entries from prefs.js, and reinstalled Lightning. The problem remains. Lightning will work if I create a new profile, but I don't want to have to recreate my email setup just to get the calendar back.

Am I missing something that I need to do in order to clear out all of the old Lightning data and install it as if it was a new install?
