add thunderbird to firefox

I just downloaded firefox a few days ago and just downloaded and installed thunderbird. I dont see a icon on the firefox browser that allows me to access thunderbird email.

There is none. They are two separate programs. You open Thunderbird with its shortcut just like you do Firefox.
