Why doesnt FF go back to 1 update per year or so?
Last couple of years it seems like FF is updated every other week, or two, forcing everybody, users and developers, to recode their plugins and users to find new ways to have their little thingies done. Some things that were easy last year are a f*ckin pain now, if not impossible, and some take hours or even days to figure out how to have your normal settings back.
Not only that: complete WEBSITES that worked fine in previous versions are a pain, some/most forced me and my gf to go back using bl00dy Internet Explorer again, ffs! Won't mention the safety issues!
I'm FED UP with this and I'm sure lots of others are too!
Percentage of FF users in my country has dropped from 50%+ to about ten%, mhmmm I wonder why?

Hi shadow666, Thank you for you post, and thank you for using Firefox. The release cycle includes Nightly, Aurora, Beta and release channel, each version that comes out is tested in these other versions before they come to release. Since all of the code is open and the development of the browser includes more than 40,000 people working on a given release, its amazing that it does so well.
In regards to the data loss, I am sorry that this happened. In order to preserve data I would recommend trying Firefox portable as well as making backups of the profile folder. Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles
I would be happy to forward your feedback for specific features at [input.mozilla.org] as well. If you have any other questions about Firefox we are happy to help.
Not talking about data loss, and I know how to make a backup by now (DUH, that link was some insult, thank you!). I was talking about having to redo settings, websites acting funny after an update and add-ons not working anymore... basically everyone has to reinvent the wheel!
But; you mean 40k people are working on developing firefox and cant get it right? Or does it mean 40k open source developers have to re-engineer their own work in order to keep up with your updates? I know quite a few that have given up. Even ppl that made skins (coz your 'true new blue' layout is ugly as fuck) said ah fuck it, I just REDID the whole thing, now there's an update AGAIN, my *new* skin not working and I have to start from scratch again...
Your reply tells me MF is just ignoring the problem... No wonder that usage of FF has dropped to 10% here...
Dont bother to forward to anything or anyone, dont think it's of much use. It's only a matter of time till some smart kids come up with a new, inventive and smaller footprint browser... you have become dinosaurs!

There's no need to be rude. If you don't like the layout of Firefox, use add-ons such as Classic Theme Restorer to restore it to the previous look of Firefox 28.
Discussing development decisions is outside the scope of this forum and isn't intended for general discussion regarding Mozilla practices. Mozilla does what it wants and they have chosen to release Firefox every 6 weeks. There's nothing you or I can do about that.
If you don't want Firefox to update, simply turn off updates. I'm sure you know how to do that and I don't want to "insult" you with another link if I provide one.
If you need support on an issue, please create a new thread at /questions/new/
