iam effected by arabyonline.com , it has changed my homepage and it dosnt comes back to normal

whenever i start my firefox iam rooted to this home page http://www.arabyonline.com/?scr=90Qw8888 tried to reinstall , it failed , runned anti malware and norton internet security failed , tried to use about:config changed the value , still it failed , iam scared to use any banking transaction or do any online transaction

please help me its a businesses laptop

i have even runned add or remove , there was a culprit which i had removed but still its few files are left behind novoitt was the file name

Did you check the user.js file in the Firefox profile folder?

You can use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).

There are other things that need your attention.

Your System Details list shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time Firefox starts.

The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be there. You can check its content with a plain text editor (right-click: Open with) if you didn't create this file yourself.

The user.js file is read each time Firefox is started and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so preferences set via user.js can only be changed temporarily for the current session.

Delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release.

hi buddy thanks for the help , have tried all this , i have runned malwarebytes antimalware , nothing happened , i cant find in registry , clicked on search , and typed arabyonline , no search result , cant search on each registry too many options . is there any other way

hi Cor-el as of now the problem is solved not getting rooted to any of the website , will wait for 1 more day to see if this problem comes back again
