your update deleted my bookmarks! !!! where how and why ?

was in the middle of playing a game of mechwarrior online and a pop up for the new firefox update popped up well i thought i closed it but didnt and guess what happens next i get all kinds of fucking windows popping up asking for this asking for that needless to say my bookmarks did not transfer over and i cannot find my old bookmarks well over 1000 of them sights that i bookmarked for a reason i need them back but i guess you guys didnt think about that
