When I click for + for new tap I get problem loading page?

Everytime I click the + on a new tap I get a "Problem Loading Page" error message. I just installed FireFox 30 for the 1st time, I had been using Chrome! - Tks for any help David

I decided to re download and install FireFox again and everything seems to be working fine now! Tks for any help, David

What is the setting of the new tab page if you check the browser.newtab.url pref on the about:config page?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
