Where in the * are all of my bookmarks I spent hours finding?
I have been happily using Firefox for a few years. I have bookmarked ALL of the pertinent addresses I use frequently. They appeared (until today) very accessibly when I opened Firefox. I NEED them, and really do NOT want to spend all of the hours it took to find those sites and bookmark them. Where are they? How can I get them back? (Incidentally: why in the world mess with something that obviously worked so well?) Thank you for your assistance! Anne

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Bookmarks+not+saved#w_fix-the-bookmarks-file
- Places Maintenance: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/places-maintenance/
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
There are other things that need your attention.
Your System Details List shows multiple Flash plugins.
- Shockwave Flash 13.0 r0
- Shockwave Flash 12.0 r0
You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page.
You can check the Flash player installation folder for multiple Flash player plugins and remove older version(s) of the plugin (NPSWF32) and possibly (re)install the latest Flash player.
