    Hellooo :-)

    Two days ago I made the last edit to the Italian article, but I realized that we should change something for the article headings (paragraph titles) {for fxos1.2} and {for fxos1.3}
    For instance
    {for fxos1.2} the heading is:

    =New email features - attachments, notifications and POP3 accounts=

    but you can add POP3 account just for FxOS1.3 not for FxOS1.2
    So we need to show different headings.

    Just an example {for fxos1.2}
    =New email features - attachments and notifications=
    and
    {for fxos1.3}
    =New email features - attachments, notifications and POP3 accounts=

    There are few headings we should change because of this.

    I tried to edit (without approving) the Italian article playing with the "TOC" and "FORs" to see if I could find a solution, but without success.

    Can you investigate to see if there is a way to solve this issue?

    Thanks in advance

    Michele

    Yeah, I'm having trouble working the showfor as well. Joni should be able to pick this up and fix it...

    Oh, yes, good point. Hermina mentioned that users aren't on 1.2 anyway, so I might just remove the showfor for it, to make things less complicated for us.

    What do you both think?

    Edit: After thinking about this some more, I think that having separate 1.2 and 1.3 headers might slow the page load time, especially for users who are looking at the articles on their phones.

    I'll remove the showfor for 1.3 and keep the 1.2 so whatever few 1.2 users we have won't see a blank article. However, Hermina says we don't have 1.2 users, so nobody will notice that some of these features are actually for 1.3.

    Let me know if you agree.

    Hi Joni,

    if Hermina says we don't have 1.2 users, I think that your last edit to the article is ok.

    Otherwise, we could edit the article in this way (it's just a suggestion, I made an edit offline and it seems to work):

    __TOC__

    {for fxos1.2}
    {for not fxos1.3}{note}Note: Some of these features are not available for Firefox OS 1.2 and earlier.{/note}{/for}

    =New email features - attachments, notifications and POP3 accounts=
    *Add audio or video attachments to your emails.
    * Turn on email notifications: Open the email app settings, tap the account you want to turn on notifications for and enable '''Display notifications for new messages'''.
    *;[[Image:Email Notifications]]
    ;For more information, see [[How do I set up my e-mail notifications and sync preferences?]].
    *Add POP3 email accounts to your phone: Tap the '''Manual setup''' link on the new account screen. Under ''Account type'', tap {menu POP3+STMP}.
    ;For more, see [[Send and manage email]].

    =Better messaging - add a subject line and forward messages=
    {for not fxos1.3}These features are not available for Firefox OS 1.2 and earlier.{/for}
    *Forward sent or received messages.
    *Add a subject line to messages: tap on the menu on the top right corner of the message screen. Choose {menu Add subject}.
    ;[[Image:subject fxos msg]]
    ;See [[How to use the Messages app]] for more information.

    and so on.

    If you agree, I can edit Joni's last revision, and if my edit is ok you can decide to approve it otherwise you are free to reject it (Absolutely no problem for me).

    Let me know ;-)

    That might work, Michele. I'll borrow your idea by putting these showfors, but I'll enter them as notes at the end of the each section it applies.

    Thanks for the suggestion!
