I would like some content added to this article because it has been helpful for me and many others. I haven't found whether linking to external sources is allowed or not so I am starting a discussion. Here are a couple registry-specific solutions to "no sound" in Firefox that I think should be added to this article: http://zarindenatrose.wordpress.com/2008/07/31/fixing-sound-firefox-vista/ http://www.mydigitallife.info/adobe-flash-no-sound-wavemapper-trick/

Should I just link to the blog posts, or should the information be re-written directly into this article? Do the blogs get any credit or link back? I am having trouble finding a guidelines article for editing content. This is the best I've found: https://support.mozilla.com/kb/how-to-write-knowledge-base-articles

Hi ZackA., there's also About the Knowledge Base that indicates KB rules don't allow tricks or hacks for modifying Firefox, developer and advanced features.

Modifying Windows registry is a trick, so I'm inclined to reject your request.

There's also a revision in pending review that fixes some things. See /en-US/kb/No%20sound%20in%20Firefox/d.../1541.

    It depends on:

    • how readable the article is
    • why it would get to the point of editing the registry (Do the other solutions not work?)
