Many of the gestures you already use to navigate around your Android device can be used in Firefox.

Swipe to Scroll Up and Down

Swiping your finger up the screen of your mobile device will scroll down the content of the website you are viewing. Swiping your finger down will scroll up.

Pinch and Tap to Zoom In and Out

  • One way to to zoom in/out is using the pinch-to-zoom technique. To zoom in, use two fingers on the screen and move them apart. To zoom out, move your fingers together, like you are pinching something between them.

  • Another way is to double tap on the page content you are viewing. Double tapping from the normal view will zoom in slightly. Double tap again to zoom back out.
Tip: If you've zoomed way in with the pinching motion, double tap, then double tap again to return your view to normal.

Long Tap for More Options

A long tap--touching and holding on the screen--will trigger the context menu for what is tapped on. For example, long tap on a link to open a menu of options such as copying, sharing, or bookmarking the link. Long tap on a picture for the option to copy, share, or save.

Navigating the Awesome Screen

The Awesome Screen shows you tabs at the top for Top Sites, Bookmarks, and History. You can tap on each of these to move to that tab.

For Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and up: You can also swipe left and right on the Awesome Screen to flip through the three tabs.
