With the addition of the Firefox reset feature and the new safe mode dialog we can shorten the steps in this article for Firefox 15 users from:

    1. Restart your computer
    2. Clear your cookies and cache
    3. Update your plugins
    4. Restart Firefox in Safe Mode
    5. Troubleshoot your plugins
    6. Reset your Firefox settings
    7. Reinstall Firefox
    8. Make a new profile

    to:

    1. Restart your computer
    2. Clear your cookies and cache
    3. Update your plugins
    4. Restart Firefox in Safe Mode
    5. Troubleshoot your plugins
    6. Reinstall Firefox
    7. Reset Firefox

I moved up the "Reinstall Firefox" step because it's less destructive than the reset. The Reset takes the place of resetting preferences and creating a new profile since it does both.

The changes look good. I've approved them. I'm wondering if we should have the Reset Firefox steps in 14 as well.

That is bizarre. I'll get sumodev to look into it. Thanks for reporting it.

Wow this seems to be an issue possibly with the "help with" menu that was changed yesterday. It's sitewide :(

We're investigating now and will try to back out what was done yesterday. Thanks again for reporting this.
