My understanding of WLM is it used the windows contacts to store contact details. Instead of the extensive export import process with all it's inherent error. Should we not simply point users to the relevant hidden prefs to use the windows contact folder within Thunderbird.

I blogged about this a long time ago https://thunderbirdtweaks.blogspot.com.au/2013/12/windows-contacts.html

While SUMO may be against much discussion on hidden prefs, I think this is something that should not really be hidden.
