Pocket for Firefox lets you save web pages and access them later. All you need is a free account. You can even use your existing Firefox Account to sign up.

Sign up with your Firefox Account

  1. Click the Pocket button, followed by Sign up with Firefox (or sign up with your email address).

  2. The Firefox Accounts page will open in a new tab. Follow the prompts to create a new account, or sign in with your existing Firefox Account.
    New Firefox Accounts: You'll receive a confirmation email when you sign up for a new account. Click on the link in the email to confirm that you own that email address.
  3. Once you've signed in, you're ready to save web pages to your Pocket list.
Existing Pocket users: The Pocket button works just like the add-on. Click Log in to sign in with your existing account. See Pocket support if you have problems logging in.

Problems signing up -- Sign Up loop

If you have increased privacy settings in Firefox, you may find yourself stuck in a loop when you click the Pocket button. If you are prompted to sign up even if you've already logged in, follow these instructions to add an exception for getpocket.com.

  1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and then select Preferences or Settings, depending on your macOS version.Click the menu button Fx89menuButton and select Settings.
  2. Click the Privacy panel.
  3. Under History, choose Use custom settings for history in the drop-down list, and uncheck Always use private browsing mode.
  4. Click the Exceptions button.
  5. Enter getpocket.com in the Address of website field, then click Allow.
  6. Click Save Changes to finish.
