This article recommends uninstalling add-ons that cause a problem with compatibility reporter installed I think it should recommend disabling the add-ons instead. A user will still want to use the add-on, and they won't be notified of updates if they uninstall it.

The article currently warns users as follows:

While using the Add-on Compatibility Reporter you may find that an incompatible add-on causes Firefox to crash. In that case, see Disable or remove Add-ons for instructions to remove it.

I changed the warning to suggest either disabling or removing an incompatible add-on. (The user may no longer want an incompatible add-on, especially if he finds an alternative.) I'm still linking to Disable or remove Add-ons since that article also explains how to disable add-ons.

I also linked to the new Google Toolbar is no longer compatible with Firefox - Here are some alternatives article in the section on searching for alternatives - see my post in the discussion thread here: /forums/knowledge-base-articles/707162#post-40909

    Needs review.

Alice, looks great! But your proposed wording makes it sound like the uninstalling article will give instructions for disabling as well. Should be something like "disable it or see (article) to uninstall it" or maybe just linkify "uninstall it" with the link to the article?

Disable or remove Add-ons includes a section, right at the top, that explains How to disable extensions and plugins.

[[Uninstalling add-ons]] includes a section, right at the top, that explains '''How to disable extensions and plugins'''.
