I recently purchased a new iMac with Lion OS. When I transferred my old applications and files, Firefox updated to ver 9.x and suddenly I was unable to play QuickTime movies from sites like Lynda.com The QuickTime plug-in no longer showed up on my list (Add-ons, Plug-ins). Initially, I was frustrated and used Safari as a back up. Eventually, I read the QuickTime thread, checked that I had the plug-in in my Library. A version 7.7 showed up but didn't seem to be working. I downloaded the older plug-in version 7.6 from Apple and swapped the two files. Now my Firefox ver. 9 works with QuickTime. Perhaps the QT ver. 7.x was corrupted- so someday I will download a new version and try it again. But if it ain't broke, why fix it?
