[Needs Updates?] Help function blocked by pop-up blocker

Software I use at work uses a web based help system, "popping up" html files stored on my c: drive as new pages/tabs in the browser. I have not found a way to adjust the pop-up blocker settings to allow these pop-ups. I assume it is because they are not coming from a website.

A typical html address that gets blocked:

    file:///C:/Program Files/UGS/NX 7.5/UGDOC/html_files/assemblies/index.html?goto=search/qagent_highlight.html&vars=-aux,-home

When I cut and paste this address into the exceptions address box, it comes up simply as "c" (without the quotation marks) in the list of exception sites. This does not allow the help pages to display.

Any ideas other than turning off the blocker?

    Thanks!

Sorry for the late answer but this forum about the article improvement wasn't monitored until recently.

Popups coming from the computer are uncommon.
