I noticed a link for Mac OS X El Capitan (10.11) to create Mac shortcuts for Firefox.

See Apple's instructions at: OS X El Capitan: Create keyboard shortcuts

This article is no longer being maintained by Apple. A Google search shows a similar article for Sierra (10.12) that will likely be succeeded by a High Sierra (10.13) article at some time in the future.
