In the "Removing a word you have accidentally added" of the article it says Open the file persdict.dat in a text editor but I checked and I don't have that file. I don't know if it is because I have the newest version, but I have a dictionaries folder and within that there is a .dic-file, which contains the words.

    Hello

The persdict.dat file doesn't exist until the first "personal" spelling is saved.
