    I have the latest Firefox 55 Beta installed but I had to set the preference extensions.screenshots.system-disabled to "false" in about:config to enable it. (This preference is mentioned in https://www.ghacks.net/2017/05/28/firefox-screenshots-integrated-in-firefox-nightly/ and in Bug 1351424 - Pref flipping Firefox Screenshots system add-on)

    I marked this article ready to localize based on the following thread posted yesterday: https://support.mozilla.org/forums/l10n-forum/712519 [HELP NEEDED] Firefox Screenshots article

    Hey SUMO L10ns! We have a fairly fresh article written by Seburo (thanks to Noah for being a helpful extra pair of eyes) about Firefox Screenshots, a really cool feature that you can use straight from Firefox without any additional installation required. Take a look here and please translate it into your language(s) - cheers :-)

    If that's so, a new revision is needed with a hidden note for localizers, since the current version of this article is telling everyone that the new feature is available right now in Firefox Beta. I'll leave the note for localizers to you or Joni. I don't know if Joni is reading this forum so you could send her an email if you aren't going to make the revision yourself.

    My feeling is that we should replace the Beta template (which will have to be removed anyway, when Firefox 55 is released) with a more general note, for example,

    {for not fx55}{note}This article describes a feature that will be available in a newer version of Firefox.{/note}{/for}

    Hi, if you want I can make the change to en-us version with something like this:

    Note to localizers: while in en-us version this feature will be available in version 55, for localized versions the plan is to have it in version 56 so you can translate the following snippet instead: {for not fx55}{note}This article describes a feature that will be available in a newer version of Firefox.{/note}{/for}

    I'm assuming you will use <!-- --> around the note, to hide it from view. Also, I would think that if the feature won't be available in a locale until Firefox 56 then the note should be changed to {for not fx56} for that locale. You might want to ask Joni via email or IRC (or start a thread in the L10n forum) to confirm that.

    Another thought: The article says:

    Don't see Screenshots? We are still testing out this feature so not everyone will see it yet. If you can't see it, stay tuned! If you can, lucky you! Let us know what you think.

    But we don't provide a way for the users to voice their opinion and give the wanted feedback ("screenshots-feedback@mozilla.com" could be a possible link, but it's just a guess). In my opinion this sentence should not go live until we provide an appropriate link or if there won't be a link the sentence should be removed altogether.

    I agree, we should either provide a feedback link such as Let us know what you think or the sentence should be removed. Can you make the edit?

    If we wait until after Firefox 55 is released to make the edit we can also replace the content of the {for not fx55} note with Template:update fx desktop, which is a "Needs change" entry.

    Hi Alice, thanks and yes, I could make the edit. Since fx55 will be rolled out tomorrow it would be best to wait just a few more hours and then replace the {for not fx55} note with the Template.

    As for the proposed Let us know what you think link: we should look a bit more into what kind of feedback is required by whom (devs, marketing or else). I heard that this link could be a bit of a dead end. I could try and get more information about this before the rollout.

    Note: Localizers might have to edit the article later again anyway, because some of the in-product strings are not translated yet (at least when I last checked).

    I have sent an email to Joni for clarification of some parts. In the meantime I made some edits, feel free to cancel it if you wish:

    1. I was told not to use too many "ings", hence this edit

    2. Included some images (personally I find it easier to show how a symbol looks like than to describe it with words, but it's just a proposal)

    3. We should distinguish between the functions "capture" and "save", that's why I changed the header

    4. One can agree on terms or policies, but not on a notice. So I changed it to "Please read ..."

    5. I did not edit this, but allow me a personal remark: I am not happy with the congratulatory phrase "Lucky you" for those wo actually see the Screenshots symbol. If I would be one of the "unlucky" users, I would not like to have it rubbed in. I would have preferred: If you can't see it, stay tuned! If you can: Let us know what you think. (or whatever link will be used).

    Artist, lets wait a day or so in case Joni wants to review your edits. On #5, I'm also not a fan of the "Lucky you" phrase. I also think it should be changed as you suggested.

    I made a new revision to shorten the note (I removed ALL of the "stay tuned" "lucky you" and "Let us know what you think" parts) and approved it RFL.

    1) I’m not sure if "migrate" is the proper word for copying the profile to another computer for obvious reasons. How about "copying"?

    2) I’m not happy with the "Save" image, as it will either require localizers to use the English image or create one for their locale. Or: could it be a dynamically localizable image like (err.. what was it) the "Ask a question" image?

    As for the "Save" image, I created one for my locale, but IMHO it has been just a waste of time...

    For me, capturing a full page and the visible part is now available in Firefox 57.0.2. The two buttons sit next to My Shots in the top right corner. We should uncomment and update the section.
