The article should clarify that Firefox wil automatically export live bookmarks to an OPML file. Firefox will also change Live bookmarks to static bookmarks when possible. See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1477667 (User Story). See also: https://www.ghacks.net/2018/07/25/mozilla-plans-to-remove-rss-feed-reader-and-live-bookmarks-support-from-firefox/ (under What happens to existing Live Bookmarks) Firefox will export all existing live bookmarks to an OPML file automatically to preserve the subscriptions. All live bookmarks are changed to regular static bookmarks if Mozilla can identify the site URL. Live bookmarks will be removed if it is not possible to to do.
