    This article used to be called "Delete cookies to remove information websites store in your computer".

    The title made it hard for users to find this article. According to a survey, a significant source of dissatisfaction was caused by not being able to find information on how to clear your cookies and cache. I think this might be a terminology problem, so matching the title to the users' language will hopefully make this article easy to find.

    Side note: The other frustrations include Firefox crashing and slowness. We have a lot of articles about those but we need to examine them to see how we can improve them.

    I think we should change the article title again [*], since this article doesn't explain now to clear the cache in Firefox. That's covered in How to clear the Firefox cache (I edited the description to add that article as a related document and set up a Needs change entry).

    We also cover clearing both cookies and cache in Troubleshoot and diagnose Firefox problems ... which includes Template:clearCookiesCache

    Many problems with loading web pages can be resolved by clearing Firefox's cookies and cache: [[T:clearCookiesCache]] For more information, see Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox.

    [*] My suggestion for a new title would be: Clear cookies and site data in Firefox

    Alternatively, we could merge this article with How to clear the Firefox cache. I set up a Needs change entry in that article with a link to this discussion.

    Also related: Manage local site storage settings ...under Clear all information: {for fx60}

    1. In the Cookies and Site Data section, click {button Clear Data…}.
      Fx60CookiesAndSiteData-Clear
    2. Put a check mark next to the type of information you want to clear:
      • Cookies and Site Data (to remove login status and site preferences)
      • Cached Web Content (to remove stored images, scripts and other cached content)
    3. Click the {button Clear} button.

    For more information on clearing cached web content in Firefox, see How to clear the Firefox cache. {/for}

    I recently updated https://support.mozilla.org/kb/delete-cookies-remove-info-websites-stored for fx60 and it includes more detailed information on managing cookies and site data for a single domain. I think that the two articles should be cross-linked or possibly merged.

    One thing I was wondering is whether it would make sense to merge these two articles somehow:

    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/delete-cookies-remove-info-websites-stored https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/storage

    Since they both address the same basic issue (deleting stuff websites know about you), but they don't convey what we intended to convey with our new UI (that localStorage and cookies go hand in hand and you probably want to delete both in most non-developer use cases).

    Based on the above, I think we should rename this article Manage cookies and site data in Firefox and then merge it with the Manage local site storage settings article.

    (How to clear the Firefox cache could remain as a separate article, in case some users only want to clear the cache.)
