Article titles can't include a colon because it would prevent wiki markup links (bug 749835). That's why we couldn't include about:config in the article title. Ref: Write articles for the Knowledge Base under "Pick a good title". The problem is, most people who want information would be searching for "about:config" and not "Configuration Editor for Firefox".

When you do a SuMo search for about:config this article comes up on page 2 (having about:config as a keyword didn't help) . When you type aboutconfig with no colon this article comes up as a top result. Having about config editor as keywords seems to help a bit for SuMo searches. Typing about: brings up this article on page 1 but as soon as you add anything after about: the search results drop again.

Google searches are the big problem. When you do a google search for about:config this article doesn't come up at all, at least not in the first few pages. I changed the article slug from configuration-editor-for-firefox to about-config-editor-firefox to see if that helps with google searches.

Hi Alice, it is better choice indeed, with that slug (about-config-editor-firefox) i have 4th and 5th result in google search if i type "config editor firefox kb" in the search (at least in Greece)

Do you have any update for the results of searches?

    thanks
