Popup GUI elements if pulled up twice in quick succession spike my CPU usage and crash the program

some examples: -menu bar menus -the menu button -context menus (websites with their own context menus do not do this) -preview tooltips

I've tried disabling extensions, turning hardware acceleration off and on and disabling AI to no avail. Disabling the preview tooltips 'worked' but I'd prefer not to disable everything here. Are there any other settings that might help?

I still have windows 7 pro on my computer and now I keep getting "Access Denied" from some websites Can your ESL be used on my computer so that I can access my bank; stores, etc.?

Hello, I'm using Firefox 147.0.4 on Windows 11. When I open the Adobe Firefly website and I try to upload a file to the Adobe server using drag and drop or by browsing the Windows file system, nothing happens ... There's no error message, but the file isn't uploaded. Of course, this site works perfectly with Opera or Edge... On the Adobe forums, many users have the same problem with Firefox, and Adobe's response is always the same: change browsers ! Today, "prioritized email" notifications started to show up in the lower right hand corner of the monitor. They are very annoying! How do I prevent from appearing on the screen?

So, after using firefox in the background to browse websites or watch videos I checked my memory usage in firefox with about:memory -> Measure and saw that youtube was consuming a decent amount >2GB (checked the main url when clicking the youtube src, it was the video on that sole tab i was watching and nothing else playing youtube in the bg) so i closed that tab, waited a bit and re-measured but then see that the memory usage for youtube rose about 200MB... and the website for youtube is that same url for the tab that i just closed (when checking the src in the results for Measure). I've been revisiting the about:memory page, reloaded it and re-Measured and youtube is STILL THERE. Even now, 10 minutes later i still see youtube there, with none of my tabs running youtube.

If i close firefox entirely and re-open my tabs then it'll very likely fix it but this has to be a major issue no? I shouldn't have to close the entire browser program just to fix a website visit, which is youtube of all websites.

As of this moment, firefox, with 8 tabs open, is consuming 4,452.99MB (~4.5GB) where 2.5GB is youtube for that page i closed.

I don't know if sharing memory reports from the about:memory page give my cookies away or leave me open to a similar vulnerability so I won't share it unless a dev or similar asks for it but for now, I've included an image showing all the tabs i have open on firefox, 2 windows.

When sliding from the primary Mac screen to another on the same computer the Firefox image (and ONLY that image) is duplicated on each additional screen image loaded making the use of multiple screens virtually useless.

I'm running version 146.0.1 (64 bit) on a Windows 10 machine, and I've found that trying to use printscreen now opens Firefox. I cannot discern why, if it's a Windows setting or a keyboard issue or anything else

things I've tried:

- Disabling every extension - Disabling AMD Radeon - Disabling ShareX (My normal screenshot program) - Factory resetting my Keychron Q6 Max (in case there's some weird macro that got set up)

Any ideas? This might not be a firefox issue, but I figured I'd ask here. Thank you

I just installed Mozilla VPN but when it's active my internet connection stops working. Pretty sure whatever protocol it's using is the problem with the WIFI signal, but I can't find how to change the protocol like every other VPN service allows. How do I change the VPN protocol? There is strangely no article already on this site for this common problem.

So if I download an attached file on gmail using Firefox... it crashes. If I open up a new tab on Firefox... it crashes. It only started this week.

I'm using 12.7.6 and I really don't want to go back to Chrome, so I hope you can help.

The macbook completely freezes apart from the mouse pointer which moves, but cannot open a thing. Every time I have to turn the macbook off to restart it.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version.

For the past few days, I haven't been able to use Google Lens for searches. Why? It used to work, and I haven't changed anything on my computer.

When File Explorer of Windows 11 25H2 tries to access and open an icon-file in the FF (144-64bit) profile's 'shortcutcache' folder, explorer gets Access Denied. The account running Firefox has admin rights.

Looking to the ACL of the profile folder containing the folder 'shortcutcache' show no reason for the blocking. Trying this with a new profile did not help.

Hi Can you please help i have tried everything to get rid of this message i have uninstalled and reinstalled i have constantly refreshed and nothing helps,I get the message The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of firefoxs files is in use by another application also for quick access place your bookmarks here on the bookmark toolbar. I am not very technical but it is driving me mad please fix this for me Thanks
