When I create a sub-folder under Inbox, it says the sub-folder has been created, but it doesn't appear in my file list. If I try again, it tells me the file already exists. Why doesn't it show up in the list? How can I access this sub-folder?

No "Send" button in mails

Just migrated to version 78.5.0 (32 bits). I don't know how to send mails ? There is no "send" button or alike!

Hello,

A colleague is inviting me to occasional conversations to be accessed using Microsoft Teams. The emails appear in my Thunderbird email. Entries are added if required to the calendar , but I'm unable to see a link to attend or 'click' on the button that says 'Join here'. My webmail account works fine (gmail) so this is something missing or not configured in Thunderbird.

The problems is not unique to the latest build as has been like this for some months.

I'd welcome some help as I guess this works for others.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Since the latest upgrade to Thunderbird, when I print emails, the screen background color prints around the lines of blacktext. "Print Background" is NOT checked in the Page Setup box; if I check it, entire sheet prints my screen background color. Until now, I would simply get the black text on the paper. Happens on all my computers and all the printers. I have been unable to find a solution in all the menus and options. Can anyone help?

I just discovered Thunderbird. Daytime, with a mouse, I can double-click a message in my inbox and it pops up in a new foreground tab. At night, using My Windows 10 Surface Book by touch, it ignores a double-tap. I can long-press and choose "open in new tab", but that makes a background tab I then have to tap on to bring forward. And all of these taps are on tiny features, hard to hit precisely.

Yes, I know, first-world problem... But is there some way to make double-taps work? Or add a big button that opens the highlighted message in a new foreground tab?

Hi everybody, I have a big problem with my 2 TPG emails using Thunderbird. I try to explain better my situation:

I have 2 TPG emails, with this provider and using Thunderbird, the problem is, the problem start 1 month ago, I m unable to receive emails or send emails. So I try to find a solutions online and calling the TPG support. I discover that I need to downgrade the Thunderbird version because the new one doesn't support some TPG server settings . So I have downgrade the Thunderbird version I think is the 68 one, but the problem is that 1 of my mail works and the other NO! I ve check all the IMAP and POP3 settings with TPG SUPPORT and double check this maybe 20 time. Is correct for my provider. So them suggest me to contact a Mozilla support. One of my mail works and when I try to set the other email ( a both are @TPG mail ) doesn't work! 0!! Do you have any suggestions? Is so frustrating I try to solve this problem 1 month ago. Thanks in advance!

Sometime over the past few months (I don't know exactly when), everything prior to 2020 on my local folders got dumped. I have no idea how or why, only that 20 YEARS of emails are now gone. I can probably get some of them from a backup, but this is not cool. To my knowledge, nothing I did caused this. I'm an experienced computer (and email) user and have had Thunderbird for many years. I looked to see if a filter was set somewhere, but didn't see anything to clear.

At my age (83) change presents problems I find hard to fix. TB78 deleted both my address book and all custom colors. I had an address book that I built over a period of 15 years. I had custom colors for the main display page of new emails (which is not white). White is hard on my eyes and difficult to read from. Without getting fancy and technical (like importing from Becky interhet mail, never hard of it, or changing a profile (????) please help me to restore the missing stuff. Thank you, Shell

I configured TB since many years to store my draft e-mails not locally but in IMAP by choosing the correct folder in the TB configuration settings in 'Copies and Folders'… (διαβάστε περισσότερα)

I configured TB since many years to store my draft e-mails not locally but in IMAP by choosing the correct folder in the TB configuration settings in 'Copies and Folders', 'Drafts and Templates', 'Other'. This worked fine upon a few updates of TB back.

Now on every saving interval as configured for 'Automatically save every x minutes' in the general account settings a new draft is saved in stead of replacing the original draft. Also the draft(s) aren't automatically deleted after sending the final e-mail. I found out that all of this functions well when I changed the configuration to store the drafts in a local drafts folder. But I want my old setup back.

I'm using an updated W10 system and the most recent TB client version which is 78.5.0 (64-bits) but I don't know which version did function well.

I did found a post about the simular problem and I tried all the suggested solutions but none of them did help. I'm an experiencied IT-engineer myself and do help out a lot of other people solving problems considering POP/IMAP and e-mail clients on all kind of different OS platforms but this problem goes over my head!

If anyone can help me out I would be grateful.

Updated from TB 74.? and in attempt to solve problem since previous update updated to TB 78.5 and not solved. Whichever address book I display the primary listing appears to have three sections 1. icons with blank space 2. Organisations (with exceptions/errors) 3. Individual name as in previous listings and lists not in 2 above.

How do I restore previous listings presentations ? Thanks and cheers

Bigger issue is not being able to send emails out via SMTP. Error returned is "Certificate key usage inadequate for attempted operation" and says "The configuration related to <mail-server> must be corrected"

Ok. How? Where? Have tried TLS security min, and every other thing from about:config to the Cert_list in my profile.

No joy on any.

Suggestions welcome>

We had a failure that required we reinstall Windows 10 and all the programs. We had backups and was able to restore profiles that had the emails. However, the address books and contact lists are not available in TB. We do have a folder that has the contacts in it, but we cannot seem to get to them from TB. I copied the folder into the profile folder but that did not help. How can I get them back into TB? We are using TB 78.5.0.
