I have Firefox version 97.0.2 (64 bit) for Windows. Lately, every time I start up the browser, it's trying to install an update. I haven't had this problem before with Firefox (and I've been using it for several years now). Is there something I need to do to stop this?

For the first time in a week I went directly to my GMX account but couldn't se my emails, contacts or any information other than the form layouts the pages are blank, however in Opera everything is seen. Also for many months Firefox doesn't allow the Recaptures to load so many sites, and services like sending of contact forms, wont work, its extremely frustrating as Firefox has all my passwords. I could go to Pale moon is the PW's can be shared as a FF user of over 20 years it is my preferred browser and would appreciate these issues resolved please.

Since updating to Firefox 100.0.1 cannot print any web pages. Cannot print to a printer, or to FoxIt pdf printer. Printing in MS Edge works with no problems. I have cleared saved print settings - did not fix problem. Please advise. Thank you.

I am working in firefox 100.0.2(64-bit). While loading files from the input element the file.type of a .csv file shows application/vnd.ms-excel instead of text/csv. What could be the problem here? It works perfectly fine in chrome.

i just downloaded the "Firefox Setup 100.0.2.exe" from https://download-origin.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/firefox/releases/100.0.2/win64-EME-free/de/ and the checksum is different to that offered in https://download-origin.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/firefox/releases/100.0.2/SHA256SUMS or SHA512SUMS. Who may fix this or am i wrong at least?

I currently run Windows 8.1 on my laptop. I upgraded to Firefox 73 a couple of days ago, and now when I open Firefox, I immediately get an error box and the message that "Firefox has stopped working". I have uninstalled Firefox, rebooted my laptop and reinstalled Firefox, but get the same results. I also uninstalled 3 Microsoft KB updates that ran on the day that Firefox initially failed. More and more sites are starting to "hide" behind cloudfare and such like which means it wants to re-load the web page automatically. Firefox is preventing this and I have to click allow every time, in some cases I can't access the sight due to this. I want to either turn OFF this annoyance permanently or to be able to "white list" certain sites to allow it

Whenever i use firefox i get spikes in my CPU usage, sometimes up to 100% usage. When i tab off of firefox, it soon goes down, then comes back whenever i have firefox active. I have tried restarting with add-ons disabled, creating a new profile, reinsalling firefox, disabling and re-enabling hardware acceleration, all to no avail.

and then I have to start again using my account for synch which a mobile phone (there I never have problems). But why is it resetting by itselves now last time yesterday, first after weeks and then shorter and shorter. I am a great fan of Firefox already using it for 18 years now but this is anoying as I not always has that mobile close to me and therefore all history/accounts are temporarily gone.

I want to do not see this small button on each tab in Firefox. Is it possible without addons? I remember that in the past there was an option in about:config for that purpose but I failed to find it now and do not remember how it is called. I don't need this close-button because I managed to close my tabs using various other ways: by Escape, by double left mouse click to a tab, by double right click on web page (everything using AutoHotkey).

I want to delete a URL in my address bar. I have followed the instructions on a Mozilla support page but that does not work.
These are the instructions I have followed:

To clear a single item in the address bar history, click the drop-down arrow in the address bar.

To clear the highlighted item, hold down the Shift key and press Delete on your keyboard.
