My Firefox keep "freezing" when I press enter in Google Search. Firefox doesn't freeze since I can still scroll up and down, and I can still access my other tabs. I tried the other solutions suggest on reddit or firefox fourms, but nothing works.

I reinstalled, reset the profiles, deleted all extensions and nothing works.

The Backstory: As a graphic designer, I save things from the web all the time--stock websites, client downloads, all that jazz. Because I have a ton of clients, I have the "Always Ask You Where to Save Files" option selected, and it usually does a pretty good job of remembering where I want to save stuff.

However, I've encountered a crazy bug in the last month: When I save images--jpegs specifically--from Adobe Stock, it will pop up the "where to save" window, and it will be a certain client's folder. (For clarity, we'll call this Tammy's folder.) I'll navigate to the new location I want to save assets for the current project I'm working on (let's say this is Mike's folder). Then I'll download another jpeg for Mike's folder from Adobe, but it will start me back in Tammy's folder again. This means I have to re-navigate to Mike's folder, every single time I want to save anywhere other than Tammy's folder.

Here's the weird thing: When I save .ai/vector files from Adobe stock, it remembers the last folder I saved an .ai/vector file to. Same for .pngs and other file types. On other stock websites, it will also remember, whether they are jps, zips, svgs--it works fine. It's JUST jpegs (not jpgs) from Adobe Stock.

I've tried clearing cookies, data, resetting the download location, rebooting my computer in between all the changes, and even going into the about:config to try to fix it that way. Short of uninstalling/reinstalling firefox, are there any other solutions I should try?

When I'm using my Firefox browser spell checking is working only with English language. Polish is my native language and I want use this function to Polish as well and set Polish as my default language. I tried to adding/removing other languages than Polish from options, setting higher priority to Polish language, how ever I have no result with that. Please help, will highly appreciate. When typing in the URL search bar I'd like to see ONLY URLs I've visited previously, bookmarks and currently open tabs. If I want to search using a search engine, I'll happily type in the search engine bar. Instead, most of the dropdown candidates are search engine autocompletions, with just a few recommendations based on my search history. Why show any search engine autocompletions at all? It doesn't help me AT ALL but I frequently know there are many more than 3 possible completion candidates in my previous history - and yet I can't see them.

I am using some custom SVG icons for my bookmark folders. I had my userChrome.css setup to set the icons based on the folder names, as well as color the icons with whatever the theme color was. This userChrome.css file worked fine in Firefox 116, but no longer works in 117. Now a couple of the icons are invisible, and the rest of them are black instead of the expected purple color from my theme. Can anyone help?

if i have for example 4 tabs open i will also have 4 windows that all share the same tabs. i have tried using "about:config" and inputting "browser.tabs.allowTabDetach" and setting it to false and it doesnt help. what can i do to get opening a new tab to stay on the same window

Certain images are never created or loaded in my browser. Youtube thumbnails, for example, display as only light grey squares. I thought maybe my addons might be causing this, but the only one that seems capable is uBlock Origin, and I even disabled it completely. Anyone know what could cause this? Surely its a caching issue or something. I can include images if anyones curious.

Every time I restart Firefox, places.sqlite which is currently 105MBs changes to only 5MBs and a new file named places.sqlite.corrupt appears. If I open Firefox, all my history is gone. If I rename the .corrupt file to places.sqlite my history comes back. I want to know why it gets corrupted? It happens when Firefox closes and it doesn't matter if there's a power cut, closing with X , or Exit, Firefox restarts and I have to rename the places.sqlite.corrupt file again. This has been happening for almost two years now. My computer stays on 24/7 and I may restart it once every 2-3 months, but sometimes you have to restart it many times a day because of issues and it's a pain in the behind to rename the places.sqlite.corrupt every single time. Any ideas?! Could an add-on be affecting it? I don't have a lot of them. Just basic AdBlocks.

When hit enter key to search with google or some other website that tab just freeze for few second, can't click on anything on that website after that it back to normal like how it work without the freeze

I already try everything i could like disable Firefox Accessibility Service, troubleshooting.

I have both the standard address window, and a separate search window. When I type a www.XXX.com into the ADDRESS window, I expect to go there. Instead, I get a google search! WTF?!

Firefox 117.0 Windows 10

When using Google search the screen locks and the cpu goes high. After approx 45 seconds the results are displayed. This does not happen using DuckDuckGo as the search engine. Google search is fine in Pale Moon and Edge. I have attached screen prints of the Firefox screen (the connection circle is constantly rotating during the 45 seconds) and a screen shot of Task Manager. This has only started happening since updating to 117 yesterday.

Vs 117.0, installed this morning, will not "continue to spotify", during the login process to the spotify desktop app. All had been working perfectly over the past few months until today. Was able to connect to spotify thru Chrome, but something get changed/broke in the new firefox v117.0 (64 bit), Win 10.

Using Firefox today I tried to search for various things using https://oceanhero.today/search.. I got this error message:

"Sorry, there was an error when rendering your search. We were notified and will try to resolve this issue as soon as possible."

But the search engine - which I've been using on Firefox for a long time without any problems - works fine on Bing.

Is there a remedy? Many thanks for any advice.

since today I have the Firefox version 115.2.0esr.

Since then, the add-ons in the toolbar have suddenly disappeared. They are installed, but no longer visible in the toolbar. As a result, I can no longer use the add-ons, because I can't find them. Not even if I customize the toolbar.

Resetting Firefox as well as the add-ons didn't help. Reinstalling the add-ins was also unsuccessful.

How can I resolve this issue?

Social Security Admin website connected okay. But when trying to open the "SIGN-IN", Firefox is blocking with below ERROR msgs ?!?!?!?!?!?! This kinds of ERROR been happening since past two days with even other GOV websites !?!?!?!?!? I MUST sign-in to SSA before SSA Website closed for the day's business !!!!!!!!

I use an translator extension for firefox for russian so I do not need this integrated tool and it's annoying to see it everytime I open a russian page. Please help me, I don't know what the source is of this translator but I can tell it's not from an extensions as I deleted every extension and tried, not worked.
