When I have stories (articles) recommended through Pocket on new tabs that I'm not interested in I will typically "thumbs down" or "dismiss" the story. What I have found recently is that causes them to be promoted to me more rather than less. I believe it's interpreting my interaction as engaging with the content rather than not wanting to see it again. For example, I was shown an article on American football three weeks ago and I gave it a thumbs down. Later that day it was three articles. I gave them the same thumbs down. After repeating this process for days, weeks later I'm still getting multiple articles recommended per day related to football. I've never read one out of interest, and I didn't have any recommendations related to sports until the first one I gave a thumbs down. Based on that, I'm convinced it's having the opposite than intended effect. Dismiss doesn't seem make a difference. Please give me a way to tune the algorithm to what I actually want to see, I like this feature and don't want to have to turn it off.

I’m running into a limitation with Firefox profiles involving the original Profile Manager (about:profiles) and the new Profiles menu in the toolbar.

I previously created multiple profiles using the original Profile Manager (about:profiles), for example profiles A, B, and C. These profiles still function normally and can be launched through about:profiles, but they do not appear in the new Profiles menu in the toolbar.

I also tried using the “Copy this profile” option available from the new Profiles menu. This made it clear that the feature does not work with profiles created via about:profiles. For example, when I open profile A, I expected that I could use “Copy this profile” to copy profile A into an existing profile like profile B (which was also created using about:profiles). However, this is not possible. Profiles A, B, and C remain isolated from the new Profiles menu and cannot be accessed, copied, or managed through it.

At the moment, profiles created with the original Profile Manager (about:profiles) can only be accessed through that manager and cannot be transferred into the new Profiles menu in the toolbar.

Is there an official fix or a workaround that achieves the same result—specifically, transferring or integrating all existing profiles created with the original Profile Manager (about:profiles) into the new Profiles menu accessible from the Firefox toolbar?

When v143 was released something happened to the shortcuts row(s). Regardless of refreshing efforts, rolling back versions, and searching the forums, there's no way to consistently get the shortcuts back. Sometimes they appear with a new browser instance, sometimes they don't. They don't appear with new tabs, and they don't stay when they do appear with a new browser. Grrrr. Please restore the shortcuts!

Hi, Since the last update for Mozilla on the laptop (updated on 6/Oct/2025 - version 143.0.4 (64-bit)), all the shortcuts to websites in Firefox homepage I had pinned have disappeared. Also I can't add new shortcuts. I already have shortcuts enabled in Settings>Home>Firefox Home Content>Shortcuts.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Alternative search engines no longer appear when typing the stasrt of a search. Am able to set alternative search engine in settings but need to go back to settings if I want to use another one. This happened after a recent update - perhaps as much as a week ago.

Today when I powered on my pc and opened up firefox all tabs were lost.

I have the option to retain tabs when opened up enabled.

I could not find them anywhere, so I had to search opened tabs from the other synced devices and click on each of them, and create again all the tab groups.

This is a big problem if randomly all the tabs can get lost, am I doing something wrong?

Another thing : I thought that when I create groups of tabs, and save them I coul retrieve them across all my synced devices, but the other devices can not see those groups, is this a normal behaviour?

The MetaMask browser extension is extremely slow and unresponsive when used in Mozilla Firefox. Actions such as opening the wallet, switching networks, approving transactions, or interacting with dApps take a long time or freeze temporarily.

This issue occurs only in Firefox. MetaMask works smoothly and as expected on other browsers (for example, Chromium-based browsers) and all other websites and browser extensions load and function normally in Firefox. Hello! I accidentally logged into my account after switching to a new computer, creating a new recovery key. Now i do not have access to all my saved passwords. I have my recovery key but cannot find where should I type it to get back all my information. Is it possible to recover my information using the original recovery key, not the one I accidentally created? I really need to get the access to all my saved passwords, please help me with it. When I access the website of UGC ( https://www.ugc.fr/ ) the access page opens up but immediately freezes: the screen luminosity decreases and the pointer cease to function: I cannot acces any of the options: select movies on show, select cinema programmes or schedule, open my UGC account to reserve performances ... Nothing works ... I have tried to reduceprotecton, etc as sugested on Forum and other suggestions: nothing works. I have no problem at all when I open the same website with Opera or with Microsoft Edge ... Why it does not work under Firefox puzzles me. Can you do something about it ? I use Firefox as my defaut internet access without problems for everything else ! This is really strange and most annoying. Thanks for your help.

The moment my version of Firefox auto-updated to 141.0.2 (64-bit), all of my extensions disabled. There is no option to re-enable them and no indicator of why they are disabled.

I found that switching to a new profile allows them to work, but of course that's not really an option; I have huge amounts of custom stuff in eg. Greasemonkey that I cannot afford to lose.

What can I do to preserve my extensions without losing things like Greasemonkey scripts? Again, deleting them and reinstalling them is not an option if it would lose their individual configurations.

I launch Firefox from a shortcut in the QuickLaunch bar. I need to double-click that to get a response. But then TWO instances of Firefox open, and I have to close one - which seems a waste of time and effort over and over and over. My system is x32Win10ProV22H2. How to get just one instance ?

I've tried 7 times to import my bookmarks from Chrome into Firefox. Firefox says that the import was successful each time, but the bookmarks aren't showing up in the Bookmark Tool Bar. It's only showing the older import, not the latest. If I go to one of the new pages, it shows that it is bookmarked, but the list that it belongs to is nowhere to be found....

So how do I update to the newly imported "Imported From Firefox" folder?

Hello, Until a couple of days ago we have been connecting regularly to the samaritanspurse.org website but now the connection times out. All other websites connect with no problem. What can we do to correct this situation. Thank you

I'm getting a PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR on my PC when trying to web browse. Same problem with other browsers. Was working fine till a few days ago The URL box has 'Not Secure' before each URL address I try. Have looked up solutions on YT to no avail eg clearing cache etc

My Laptop has no problem with this.
