Why was an unremovable "Extensions" menu added to my toolbar?
I would like to be able to remove this from my toolbar but cannot which is inconsistent to how customizing the toolbar normally functions.

Selecting text on any page, there's no visual feedback of what is selected until mouse is released.
There's no feedback that selection starts when mouse button is pressed down, no visual feedback while moving the mouse with the button pressed and only upon releasing the button do I get to see the selection.
Selecting works fine in other browsers (chromium) and was working the other day before I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 22.04 (was using 20.04 before) wiping my previous Firefox. So this issue is on an almost vanilla Firefox version 104.0.2.
(Incidentally I can highlight that version number and only that version number in the about-box and I get continuous dynamic feedback of what part of the version number I highlight, but nowhere else in Firefox.)

Hello all,
For some reason, I can no longer upload or download files, with the pop-up window failing to appear entirely. I can upload folders through, for example, Dropbox or Google Drive, but individual files don't work.
I've reset my browser, uninstalled and reinstalled it, opened it in troubleshooting mode, disabled enhanced tracking protection, but nothing seemed to work. I've tested another browser, and I was able to upload and download files just fine.
Is there anything I can do to fix this? I'm on Ubuntu 22.04 using Firefox 107.0.1.

I've been an avid user of Firefox Monitor for the past few months, but recently over the last few days when I go to https://monitor.firefox.com/user/dashboard and log in, I've been struggling to find the button that allows me to add new email addresses. I've searched the support article for Monitor for this information, but to no avail: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-monitor. So I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction?

Hi, I faced the problem with Youtube recommendations on a video page. When I watch a video I can't see recommendations, comments and video title (see the image). (Reason: CORS request did not succeed).
I am on arch linux system.
I've tried to: 1. Update all ca-certificate* packages 2. Disable and delete ad-block 3. Use another browser (there is no problem, only in firefox)
This problem is only actual on Youtube for me.

A forum site is displaying the correct times. A site displaying weather information uses the correct time; I loaded it just after 3am and the first time it displayed was 6am as expected.
1. A TV guide normally highlights in red programs currently showing; at present it shows programs showing one hour previously. In Google-Chrome no programs are highlighted. I have removed the cookies and that has made no difference. 2. Facebook.com times are one hour late, both the time of posts in the newsfeed and times of notifications.

Hi all, I have an Apache site on Kubuntu 20.04 with a certificate signed by my private CA. I've added the root CA ceritificate in Firefox and in Chromium.
Firefox throws a SEC_ERROR_BAD_SIGNATURE error
Chromium accept the certificate as valid
What can I do?
Notes: the site url is "https://hdev.h.net" (with an internal IP address inside my lab)
Attached there are:

No matter what I tried, I can not delete my browser history, nor can I delete single websites from my history. The history list works fine, all visited sites are visible and browser history is updated, but I can not delete any of the entries or the whole list. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, but the problem is still the same. I have read and write permissions on the .mozille folder, so this can not be the problem.

Recently, I had to change my username at my bank's website because somebody was trying a brute force attack on my password. Now, the site still shows my old username, although I've gone to my Saved Logons in Preference and removed all logons for that site except for the correct one. I have to delete the old username from the typing box every time I log in there, after which I can select the correct (and only) saved username/password.

Hey there,
I have the following issue with Firefox, is this maybe something I should report to the Ubuntu support or directly to Bugzilla?
Steps to reproduce: ---
Environment --- User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:83.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/83.0 Firefox version: 83.0 (64-bit) pulseaudio version: 13.99.2 OS: Ubuntu 20.10 64-bit Gnome version: 3.38.1 Windowing system: Wayland CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz × 8 RAM: 15,5 GiB GPU: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics 620 (WHL GT2)
Actual results --- pulseaudio process is spawned and rapidly becomes the most CPU consuming process on my machine (especially after a few seconds, when the Web Content ones start to cool down). Even though no sound is actually played! When switching to another tab with no embedded video, pulseaudio keeps overloading the CPU. This only stops after closing Firefox.
Expected results --- I'm not sure this is what should be expected, but I'll give it a shot:

But when i do Ctrl+q accidentally, it closes the only Firefox window i have. This window has many tabs open. Yes it restore next time, but i want FF to ask me before closing it.

When Firefox asks if I want to download an update and I agree, soon after that but not right away it stops working - on every new page it says "We need to restart to finish updating" <- This last bit is VERY annoying. Is there a way to keep FF working in such situation? I usually have 3 FF profiles running, about 10-20 tabs each and when it suddenly does this - I can restart them all but when it is suitable for me.
The only solution I can see so far is disabling updates via group policies (which is not well documented, where do i put this policies.json on Fedora? need to google that).
Any other ways to keep updates and FF running until I decide when to restart? Thanks.

I am using Firefox with Default Search Engine set to Duck Duck Go. I seem to be unable to connect to duckduckgo.com be it either through typing my search in the address bar or duckduckgo.com. All I get is: "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site." Internet connection seems fine (no trouble connecting to other sites). Sometimes clearing "Cached Web Content" helps but it is troublesome to clear cache after each browser restart. How can I get the Duck to work with the Fox?
Selected options: Use the address bar for search and navigation Default Search Engine - DuckDuckGo Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed

I would be happy to provide any additional information if needed.

<start rant>I see that all the menus have disappeared from firefox in the top of the window on my PC since a couple of years now. This is such an annoying "improvement".
The worst thing is - it keeps getting more and more difficult to open them with each successive "improvement" you make.
I actually use firefox for my job, not to watch tiktok videos or browse facebook or watch inane people do inane things on instagram.
Heads up , you developers. To be able to "do" things with your freaking software you need to be able to "click" on easily accessible drop-down menus.
So, why don't you give us stupid users the option to always have menus displayed the whole freaking time? Then, if some of us are backward enough to want to click on menus to do stuff, then we can still do that ! </end rant>
My sneaking suspicion is that you guys don't want us to control where we go on the internet at all. You want double click to tell us what we need to see and do and then you all earn $$$$.

I noticed under "Add ons" section of "Troubleshooting information" that several extensions (namely "Google - google@search.mozilla.org") are enabled by default. I have removed Google from my search options and I cannot find a way to disable or remove it in under "Add-ons" section of main menu as it doesn't show up there. Is there a way to remove it (and Amazon and Bing while we're at it)?
