I'm not sure what happened, if it was the update or what; But Firefox is suddenly wrecked. None of the background images load and it seems like the global style sheet is effected (see screenshot). I Googled for a fix and tried a refresh, and deleted the app and reinstalled (which likely maintained some preference somewhere). And I tried going into config and messing with that background color setting that needs to be "0", which it was. Anyone else having this issue?

Yesterday I received update 91.0 of Firefox...normally all goes good.

However, now when I open my setting, the background is black.

When I go to eg Tools > Download...also black.

I have checked all setting, and nothing points to a black theme.

Also my windows setting are correct and not pointing to a black theme.

I am kinda getting annoyed why nowadays all needs to be black themed, I and would like to see it the way it was, bright and not this depressing black.

Please can someone provide advice/instructions how to resolve this?

I stupidly allowed my Firefox to "up"grade from FF90 to FF91. This has caused the padded spaced-out menus to return, which I had managed to fix in the previous version, but the fix does not work in FF91.

I cannot work with the increased vertical spacing of the menus. It bugs me, it annoys me, and it pi..., that is to say, it gets me very cross.

Since Mozilla in their un-wisdom have decided to deny us the possiblility of customising the vertical spacing to suit our needs, but have instead decided to dictate the increased spacing, I would like to roll back to FF90 and disable upgrades until such time as Mozilla decide to listen to their users and allow customisation - would it really hurt to do that, Mozilla?

In the meantime, how can I best roll back to FF90? Can I download it from somewhere? How can I install it without losing bookmarks, settings, and css file?

I switched from Chrome recently, but have been unable to get the SiriusXM web app to work. This has been an issue working from home and listening to my channels. It still works fine on Chrome and even edge. I have updated to the newest release, repented for my tech sins, and rebooted my computer to no avail. Anyone had this issue or know how to resolve it? I don't really want go back to chrome, but I also don't want to spend money on a radio for my house or have two browsers running.

Hi Everybody,

Today after restarting my computer, none of the websites I've been viewing on Firefox are displaying properly. They're missing banners, and somehow the colors, fonts, links, etc. are messed up. I can open pages but none look like they should.

I've got no idea why this is happening or what to do about it. I've attached a screenshot of Yahoo Sports below.

See the attached pics. They are both of the same Mozilla support webpage - one on Firefox and one on Safari. The one on Safari looks the way that I would expect it to but Firefox shows it without background colours. On other websites I have noticed that where there are grey fonts on Safari, Firefox shows those fonts all black.

I first noticed this starting about one week ago but I can't remember anything specific changing around that time but I may have forgotten (age!). I have tried troubleshooting mode and refreshing the browser and I have even created a new profile but the problem persists. It is like this on all websites that I have accessed.

Today, when I opened Firefox web browser and go to a site(s), I get a different appearance to what I am used to and I don't like it. I have downloaded the latest version of Firefox (91.0) but this has not helped. I use Firefox on a Mac. Any suggestions on how to revert to the previous appearance would be appreciated.

Please provide an option to revert to the smaller line spacing and the original smaller top window title vertical size. For those of us using smaller displays the new sizes in Firefox make it much less friendly, and inconsistent with other software on the same PC. Thanks!

Hi all After update 90.0.2 installed on my computer, FIrefox started flickering all the time a new page gets opened. I have never had such a problem before, nor I had any hardware change in the last two months. I tried several proposed solutions concerning flickering like refreshing, disabling hardware acceleration etc. but nothing helps. I wonder what happened in 90.0.2 which caused that. I just installed update 91.0 and the flickering still persists.

I am using Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit on a Dell Vostro 3750 Laptop if that matters. Thank you

Hi there! Since FF 91 all menu items have an incredible vertical spacing, the menu item is twice as high as before. This is a nuisance especially in the bookmark menus. I would like to have the narrow menu item spacing back, without being urged to install an AddOn or to learn CSS programming or to file a bug in this peculiar BugZilla system. Think of our family of USERS, not developers.

Yes, I understand the circumstances of free software. Yes, I see it is necessary to keep up with modern UI design and the so-called technical progress. The FF 91 UI changes slightly towards what we expect to get in Windows 11. Fine! Also, it is absolutely clear that the new menu line spacing adds more comfort to the FF usability ... on tablet PCs and smart phones. But NOT for desktop users.

As far as I know, Microsofts plans for Windows 11 still include a setting to keep the old narrow menu item height. Mozilla should do so, too. I hope the developers will take care to not lose contact to their users.

A few months ago Firefox decided to double space all the items in menus. Reading through the forums many people didn't like this because of the amount of space that the menus now take up. Fortunately there was a work around, by setting 'browser.proton.contextmenus.enabled to false they returned to normal

This morning Firefox my got upgraded and the double spacing problem is back again. However there appears to be a bug with the setting and the menus won't return to normal. I'm now stuck with stupidly large menus that won't fit on the screen and lots of painful scrolling.

Does anybody have an alternative workaround until this is fixed?

After I update to recent version of firefox all website looks really off. Looks like no styles are loading form website.

I've been using Firefox for years but I am stuck with this problem. Firefox just updated to version 91.0 (64-bit) and now webpages are not being rendered correctly as per the attached screenshot. It seems to be a selective CSS issue and it is across all pages.

I have tried restarting the computer, clearing the cache, and changing the theme. This is happening on two different Macs both running macOS v 11.4.

The first image shows the page in Firefox, and the second in Safari (and how it used to look in Firefox before version 91).

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

I'm on a Macbook and suddenly Firefox is no longer displaying pages fully. It seems to only grab text and styling and a few seemingly-arbitary but consistent images. I've uploaded an example image from trying to view forums.somethingawful.com. This started last night when I was trying to close some other apps with CMD+Q but they lagged and I ended up closing a bunch and I thought I had accidentally mashed some other CMD+key combo that put me in some funky render mode.

Chrome on this laptop works fine. Firefox on my PC logged in to the same Mozilla account still works.

I'm now on a blank install with zero add-ons or extensions, but it's still not displaying correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Every time I check the box for "Ask to save logins and passwords for websites" and select my options, the next time I start Firefox the box is unchecked and it never "asks" like it should. To add further insult, even though the login and password from a previous log in has been saved, the Firefox saved log in does not work. What is happening?

Just downloaded 91.0 and the next time I started up Firefox all of the websites that I frequent...just about all of their design (fonts, colors, etc.) are GONE! What the heck? It's like all of their formatting is no longer recognized. I don't have time to figure out how to get it all back. Clickable links use to turn color; can't put check marks in boxes when doing surveys (I was doing a survey when I chose to just download the update, and I was able to check boxes at that time; now I can't even check the box below to indicate I want to be emailed when someone answers this question! ... @verizon.net, by the way, if you want to email me to know you've answered this question.) I have never experienced this in the past. Is there an easy answer to this? Anyone else experience this? I am on iMac Mojave 10.14.6.
