It's all in the question, all of my 3rd party add ons via xpi files, were disabled and I have no idea how to re-enable them. I'm running on the beta, so that might be why it happened, but something like this is really shit of them to do, because I'm careful for my add ons and know which ones are installed, and they're add ons not featured in their addon page. So I'm really mad and pissed off now, so much so that if there isnt a fix, I'm just switching over to chrome

after the new update I can't open a new tab to my homepage. I don't want all the tile crap or suggestions I just want my Google home page to open. It's now made my work process twice as long to do because of the stupid forcing me to have what the company wants me to use instead of having it the way I want it like I could before.

All I want to do is make my new tab my google home page. I have changed the browser.newtab.url in about:config and I still get some other page with websites I went to before popping up.

Let me begin by saying that I adore Firefox and have great respect for the Mozilla Team and its minions.

However, I am a little upset that three add-ons that I use regularly and have for some time suddenly could not be verified by Firefox and so were summarily disabled all in the name of security. To be specific, these add-ons are: Advanced SystemCare Surfing Protection, Avast Online Security, and LastPass. I have no idea what chaged overnight to cause these particular add-ons to now be perceived as a threat, but I surmise that whatever blacklist you all are using has suddenly included these add-ons.

But what has me REALLY incensed is the fact that a means to allow these add-ons in spite of whatever security risk they may pose is not made immediately available for those of us who are willing to accept the risk of using an add-on that hasn't met your entirely arbitrary signing policy.

I don't really expect anyone to take any action to solve this problem even though I think you ought to. I hope you will let us know when the pissing contest is over.

My LastPass add-on could not be verified by Fire Fox and no longer works. I trust this software and want to continue using it. None of the Fire Fox help articles tell me how to re-enable it without having to edit the computer's brain, which would be more dangerous than any malware.

I'm currently on Beta 41.0b1. If I "downgrade/install" v 40.0.2, will my the open tabs on each of my 3 sessions disappear? Will my favorites still exist?

Sudden loss of reliability. Firefox is slowing down my entire system, even though I haven't opened more tabs or done anything else on/with my PC. Also, whenever I close my Firefox tabs it results in a "crash report/crash recovery prompt".

WE always use eff.org's https.everywhere in order to keep our computer extra safe. The newest Firefox update will NOT allow me to use it anymore. With all the nasty stuff that's out there dead set on ruining computers, why on earth did they do this? Do I need to be wary of my previously beloved Firefox as well?

I start the browser customize the interface then go into the options do my settings and the next time when i start the browser everything is at default, its frustrating.........

I am very displeased with the new version of Firefox. My browsing sessions keep crashing, causing me to close/reopen the session every 5-10 min. It seems to happen when there is a video ad or a pop up on the page. When I restart the session I get an error message: We're sorry...cannot restore session. If i hit exit the session is restored. I tried to refresh the browser settings and it did not work. There is no message or alert that prompts me to changing anything with my CPU.

This is most annoying and is inhibiting my work. To satisfy the requisite IT stall questions: I am using a PC, Windows 8, and yes- all of my updates are current and I refreshed my Firefox. If this cannot be fixed I'm going back to googlechrome.

I noticed recently that my browser looked odd when opened, it made my task bar at the bottom of the screen disappear. I checked my settings option and clicked on full screen, it showed it was turned on but the browser went back to normal, so when I turn full screen off the browser goes back to the messed up version. Then when on youtube, I want to make the video full screen but it no longer goes to complete full screen. the top of my browser page is still visible, like the address bar and tab bar and all that is still there. How do I fix this?

Several days ago, I started getting a message when Firefox hangs or freezes saying: firefox is not responding...close or wait for response. I have tried restarting computer and clearing cookies and cache. I am very inexperienced and do not know what to do. I have Windows 7 and the latest version of Firefox. My plugins are up to date; am little intimidated to restart in safe mode or reinstall Firefox. I read when refreshing that extensions and extension data is removed.....not sure what that means. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

I hope this is not a duplicate of a previous question. Several days ago, my computer started freezing and hanging up; I started getting message: "Firefox is not responding. Do you want to close program or wait for program to respond." I have Windows 7 and the latest version of F/F. I have restarted computer, cleared cookies and cache. I am not very knowledgeable so have not restarted in safe mode, refreshed F/F or reinstalled F/F. I have checked plugins and they are up to date. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

I am on the Firefox Beta channel on Linux Mint, and now Firefox is blocking a couple of the best extensions in the world. They are both from EFF: Https Everywhere and Privacy Badger. I installed them manually for the longest time until they went into the Firefox add-on place. Well, they aren't "verified" so now I had to manually override it in about:config. But I am hearing that unless I get Firefox Developer or Nighty, I can't install them after Firefox 41!! Mozilla: could you please verify these add-ons for future versions of Firefox and for everyone who uses them? These add-ons are a must have for me. I might have to switch to Chrome, I consider them so needed until they are "verified". Thanks and please do it soon!!

The 'Pin It' button for pinterest has disappeared from my toolbar and I am not having any success adding it back on.. Having recent issues with Adobe Flash, I reset Firefox settings and that's probably when it was removed. In an attempt to simply add it again, I tried searching for it as an option in the Firefox 'get add-ons', but cannot find it--which I find unusual because it's a very popular add-on.

I tried to add it from the Pinterest, following their specific instructions for Firefox, but if it has been successfully installed, I cannot find it on the toolbar and it does not appear in the 'additional tools and features' that I navigate to via the 'customize' option.

Yesterday view page source is opening is seperate window but suddenly today view page source is opening in seperate tab which causes some major changes in my development.

I want to get back to previous thing(View page should open in seperate window again).

How could i get back to this changes again?

This started when I my 'Pin It' (for Pinterest) button disappeared. I had tried adding it a number of times with no success. I can't recall in which order I did the following: I created a new profile and refreshed FireFox. Refreshing caused all of my bookmarks to disappear. I don't understand the instructions to copy files of one to another--it did not solve the issues. I had over 1k bookmarks.

I've attached pics of the two profiles and the contents of each. Please advise. Thank you.
