The 40.0 upgrade disabled an unusual number of add-ons. On my browser, they are Bing Fastest Search NoScript Office Launcher Qualsys Browser Check Readability Skype Click-to-Call WebRank SEO Toolbar Webroot Filtering Extension

As I understand it, I would have to contact each of the add-on producers to ask them to restore their Firefox verification. Instead, I'll do what I have done in the past and go over to Chrome. This disabling has greatly affected my browsing experience, especially for business. Firefox is the only browser I have encountered that disables add-ons and extensions almost every time it is updated. I love Firefox but this is getting old. I'll seriously consider staying on Chrome.

For some reason my word processing program has disappeared. Which wp program does Firefox recommend? Does Firefox have one? Firefox is new to me and I'm not very familiar with it yet. But need to do some wp now! Thanks for the quickest, easiest, FREE program to access.

Every time I try to update Firefox Developer Edition it restarts and it keeps in the same version, I tried safe mode (even reinstalling, but the version keeps, weird, no?) Recently started showing this. (see image attached) I'm running OSX 10.10 (Yosemite) I only use Adblock Plus and the troubleshooting information should be attached. So... Should I try to run firefoxdeveloper.app as sudo? BTW1: I'm a developer so expect modifications in my system. BTW2: Is weird to ask this, cause, I'm a volunteer for mozilla support...

Firefox was working great until recent updates of version 39.

I have now lost my ability to bookmark a page. When I click the star icon as I always had, the star turns bright blue and gives the appearance that the bookmark is being transferred--or "thrown into" -- the bookmark icon. But the page never appears anywhere in my bookmarks.

Before when I clicked the star, I always got a box that would let me edit the name I wanted for the bookmark name, and the different bookmark menu locations that I could choose from as to where I wanted the bookmark to go. Now I don't get any box.

I know this has to be a result of the recent update changes and not something in my computer because I never had that simulation of "throwing" the bookmark before. Or the bright blue star.

Installed FF40.0 and now PasswordBox icon has disappeared. It shows up in my add-ons and looks to be active. See attached image.

What to do?

My homepage has recently changed itself, although I did not authorize this change. I want it to be msn.com, but now it displays either bing.com or the blank Firefox page seen after clicking the "Reset" button on the Options page.

I've tried entering msn.com into the Home section of the Options page, and also dragging the msn.com tab to the Home button of my browser. MSN loads when I click the Home button, but on startup, one of the other pages loads. Again, I made zero changes to my homepage settings myself. I'd greatly appreciate any advice.

The video start playing very well as usual...but it stopped in the middle and firefox suddenly HANG itself, So I can't do anything, the audio still played, but the video stopped !!

PLEASE RESPOND THIS PROBLEM QUICKLY BEFORE YOU'RE TOO LATE TO REALIZE !!

NOTE : i can't provide this with the image, if i do that, FIREFOX WOULD HANG AGAIN..

It's weird, but the last few days I can't always see what I'm typing as I type in a web address. I had recently done a restore to my computer settings, but when that was done, and I saw that I was having this problem with Mozilla Firefox, I checked to see if I had the latest version, I did indeed have it. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Does simply surfing with a beta (or newer) version of FF actually do anything for MoCo? I really dont need the new features that will obviously appear sooner in those channels. At any rate, I have one crash report that I submitted on 9 July in my about:crashes profile. I have all data submitting options enabled (Options/Advanced/Data Choices), and have had all these options enabled since longer than I can remember. Im just wondering if this is helping them make a better browser (or at least confirm that changes are NOT hurting browser performance), or if they get no benefit apart from bug reports.

I do not know why they will no longer load. I go to a machine that has version 28.0 on it and they load just fine. So it has me confused as to how to get it to work again in this version.

running the Beta version of Firefox. When attempting to use https://www.google.com/ I get the "This Connection is Untrusted" message but do not get the "I understand the risks" button to allow the use of google.com.. how/what needs to be done in order for me to be able to utilize google.com. Can't get past the:

Since the July 21 Microsoft Font vulnerability update, character display in the omnibox is faulty. This seems to occur only in the input box, the list is ok. eg. I type www, and the display just shows blank characters (but the cursor seems to have moved on). If i type www... I get blank or jumbled characters till I get at least 12 chars into the box, then it diplays.

The window pops up whenever I open Firefox and at random intervals. It is bothersome to have to keep closing it. I've updated both through the pop up window and through "about Firefox" over 4 times and the pop up still keeps happening. "About Firefox" says it is 40.0.

I've just updated from FF 37 to 40 and the ability to see the number of URLs I am selecting in the Bookmarks view seems to have disappeared. Instead, I've got a bigger descriptions box (which I don't need) that I have to minimise.

Please let me know how I can enable the counting of selected bookmarks? Thanks.

I have recently installed Firefox on my laptop and my phone and when I go on my phone I can see my laptop's recent tabs synchronised but when I go onto my laptop I cannot find my phone's recent/open tabs nor it's history. Going onto about:sync-log it shows two sync efforts, both with error-sync at the beginning of the log names, what am I doing wrong to stop my phone from syncing to my laptop when my laptop syncs to my phone fine?

For the past several months, Firefox has been eating memory like crazy. Once I get more than 5 tabs open or have Firefox running for more than an hour or so, memory usage hits around one GB. If I keep letting it go beyond that, it'll hit 1.5-2 GB and it makes my whole desktop freeze up. I've taken to keeping Task Manager and every hour or so just kill Firefox and restart. That keeps it from crashing my whole desktop. It's definitely worse when I open Google products, especially Maps and Docs. GMail usually is OK.

I have tried disabling literally every Add-On and Extension (including Flash and Adblock).

I'm on Windows 7, I have 4 GB of RAM installed. I am on version 40.0 of Firefox, but this has been going on through a couple of updates now (I think the problem started around March or April). I also tried to back-rev Firefox and go to the last version I had before the problems started, but that didn't do anything either.

Chrome works fine on this machine without any similar problems -- but I prefer Firefox!

I was using the Hola! Unblocker forever for sites like Netflix, MTV, ABC, NBC, Hulu, basically any American network that doesn't stream its content to Canada and it was great. Now suddenly Hola! is gone and everytime I try and install, Firefox won't let me.
