My wife's old Windows 10 HP laptop quit working last week do to some Operating System failure while it was trying to do an update. It finally did a reboot and now it is useless, at least as it is! It will NOT complete the boot process after trying all of the options offered. All that I am able to is exit out of Windows to a "DOS prompt." I am able to get to the Mozilla Firefox folder and others contain within. The new Windows 11 laptop I bought her is working fine with a fresh Firefox browser installed about a week ago. What she wants is her web links, settings and saved passwords "copied" from the old laptop and installed on the new one! We have no idea how many there are to retrieve! I'm hoping that there might only be one folder that I can copy via "command line" prompt to a USB drive and move the file(s) to the new laptop the same way. Can anyone tell me what I need to know? Firefox suddenly has an AI assistant that pops up on a tool bar on the left side of the screen with a green dot beside it. I want to turn this off and make it disappear, if possible. Please tell me how to do that.

I use Firefox as my default browser, and I like it very much.

Problem: I received an outlook email with a link to a Docusign envelope. The link would not connect with Docusign.

Work Around: When I used another browser, Microsoft Edge, the link opened up right away.

Additional Information: I use another digital signature program, Dotloop, and it works without any issues on Firefox.

Question: What can I do to make sure that Docusign works properly on Firefox?

Over the last 5 or 6 months, Firefox seems to have lost the capacity to remember my open tabs if my Mac is forced to restart. These open tabs are vital to my workflow. If this can't be solved, I shall have to migrate to another browser, which is something I do not wish to do.

My Firefox version is 147.0.4; my computer a Mac Studio 2025 M3 Ultra; my OS Tahoe 26.3.

Please advise.

1. How to save a tab group without closing it? 2. How to make individual tabs in a tab group permanent? (So when you close a tab group only the permanent members are preserved.)

I get why the domain is highlighted, and it's good! But the rest of the URL can be hard to read, especially with dark themes (see screenshot, taken of this page's URL bar, using the default Dark theme). I have tried to find a dark theme with better contrast, but haven't had any success.

Is there a setting that I can change to set the font colors or contrast between them?

Suddenly I cannot search from the search bar. It defaults to the address bar. why "fix" something that was not broken. Being forced to use the address bar is frustrating. If you go directly to the address bar, it tells you it cannot find that site.

The last update (which was VERY rocky... I had to reinstall and functionality has NOT been great since) eliminated the Bookmarks icon from the top ribbon. I've looked through settings, but find no way to restore it. Can it be restored? I now have to click the menu, Settings, and THEN Bookmarks.

My windows MSN app says this. When I select '"Open in Browser", this happens.

However, when I select "Video Hub", it works normally.

I tried clearing the cache and cookies. Reset. Uninstalled/reinstalled. I can separately access the website on Firefox.

Since last two updates, I noted I can't click on the URL field or any icons next to each other two versions ago. I changed the Bluetooth mouse to a lined mouse, then it went OK. But with the latest update, again, the same symptom occured and persists: I am on MacBookPro, so I manage to Command+any command key.

How can I restore and click on URL field, copy URL, or reload the URL address again? OF course, I need to use other icons for each function.

since Vers. 142 I am having a really bad and wasteful time searching for my previous tabs when firefox is closed....initially it worked, but now RESTORE PREVIOUS SESSION IS NOT ON THE MENU UNDER HISTORY.... WHY IS THIS ALWAYS A PROBLEM WITH UPDATES???? IT SEEMS THAT THE UPDATES WHEN LISTED DON'T SHOW HAVING ANY TAB INFO, BUT SURE AS DAY/NITE WHEN I TURN MY DESKTOP AND FIREFOX, TABS ARE MISSING AND I CAN'T RECOVER THEM.

IT WOULD SEEM THAT IF THE DESIGNERS REALLY WANTED TO DO SOMETHING WELL, THEY SHOULD BE TRYING TO FIND OUT WHY THIS HAPPENS ON A REGULAR BASIS.

CAN'T "SNIP" A PICTURE OF MENU, SO HOW WOULD I MAKE A COPY OF IT SO YOU CAN SEE THAT RESTORE PREV. SESS. IS MISSING?

I have a machine I've been using for months and haven't got around to archiving the history and tabs for some research I was doing. I realized this could be problematic if anything happened to the machine, so I decided to sign-in to my Mozilla/Firefox account I made years ago, so it would be safely sync'd.

Everything was fine at first, it showed it was syncing and whatnot, but then after several minutes, Firefox crashed. Upon relaunching, ALL of my history is gone! Neither signed-in nor signed-out shows any history at all, except the searches I've done just now trying to undo this mess. Did I really just loose months of history due to some bug or is there a way I can manually restore or see it from the mess of cache/profile files on my machine?

Ubuntu user, so will be at ~/ or similar for most things I assume.

Hello. Is it possible to hide or delete the "Search bookmarks," "Manage bookmarks," and "Other bookmarks" options in Firefox? I personally never use them, so I'd like to remove them if possible. I was wondering why there are two "Manage bookmarks" items in the "Bookmarks menu."
