I currently run MS10. I do not like MS software but use its OS. I do not want to use MS11 when MS10 is no longer provided with security upgrades by microsoft. Will Mozilla Firefox browser run without problems on either Linux or ChromeOSFlex? If so, which OS is recommended by this community?

In Chrome I get this error:

In Firefox I get:

   File not found
   Firefox can’t find the file at https://the_url_in_question.
   Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors.
   Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.            

Same file called seconds apart. Please note: this is NOT a 404 error. The file is there: if I fix the error on line 747, the PHP Notice goes away and FF loads the page correctly.

ff = 128.03 os = win11 extensions = problem still there when all off

when i close the last tab ... firefox closes. [*sigh*] way back when [several years ago], i could close all the tabs quickly and still have FF open and ready to go to my next site.

how can i get FF to behave as i want? [*grin*]

After years of using Firefox and accessing my grocery store online for the weekly ad and specials it suddenly says shows me this when I try to open the website:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.dillons.com.

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
   Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

When I look for solutions it tells me there is no way to allow this website to open now. What is going on? I don't care if it's a secure connection, it's just a grocery store ad.

When I input my backup code, mozilla shows the error "There was a problem confirming your backup authentication code". I tried inputting just one of the codes and all the codes. I'm not sure what to do.

First of all, I have already changed my about:config browser.search.region preference to GB.

When I try to install the amazon search engine for amazon.CO.UK, via the magnifying glass on the search bar, I get this message.

I am using 'search:query=seattle&crumb=location:C%3A%5CMyFolder' such query to search in my local indexed files on my windows using firefox 124.xx versions and also all the other browser supports this , after the update to 128.0.3 , this stopped working , Is there any setting to do so that it would start working back. reference link https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/win.../search-protocol

Microsoft search Protocol works fine in older versions now it didnt , Any new update stopped this?

New W11 computer. checked "always ask where to save files". Restarted Firefox. It's still automatically dumping downloads in Downloads rather than asking.

In seeing other answers to this dilemma it presents another problem. I do use sync. But what troubles me is IF I need to give out the password for someone to use the internet that person now has access to my passwords. Since there seems no way, unless I shutoff sync. Is this correct? Should there be some Secondary password? Passwordpasswordpasswordpasswordetc.

Hey there, I've been using Firefox for 4 years now, and today I woke up to a huge error - I cannot access any site properly or even use it. The internet is working and is not the issue - Please help.

Switched on my laptop today and all open tabs in Firefox only showing web pages in text format, not images, graphics. Have restarted Firefox, rebooted laptop, cleared cache/data, checked latest version. Not touched any setting and Edge works fine with same sites. After using Firefox as by preferred browser for many years it looks like I need to find an alternative which makes me sad.

Whenever I try to access a webpage it shows up as no style and buttons and links are non functional. However if I use private browsing everything works, but all my history and extensions are not available.
