After the most recent update, the Home Page does not show the minimize, maximize, and close buttons, when I first open the Firefox Browser. I can click task bar / show desktop and then maximize the Firefox Browser. Once I do that, the forementioned Home Page buttons appear. It seems that a fix is needed for this glitch.

some items are large, some items are TINY. I have tried resetting my display setting scale, but the url bar, the menu where are my open tabs, the bookmarks toolbar, and some other things re TINY.

I've pretty much exhausted my simple little mind about this problem. At some point around the beginning of the year, Firefox changed the fonts on all my toolbars to some ridiculously miniscule font. I've queried Google's AI several times, tried every solution I've received, all to no avail. Is there a way to do this? I just want to enlarge the font in all the toolbars, not the web site contents, and lock it in. Thanks to whoever can help me achieve this.

Recently a "gear" icon has appeared on the bottom left of my screen while using Mozilla. It relates to moving the tabs. I don't want to do anything with my tabs. How can I get rid of the icon? The icon reduces the horizontal screen space available. I have a small laptop so this small amount of space is important.

I have about:config > toolkit.legacy ... stylesheets set to true, but how can I determine if FF actually 'loaded' the file <profile>/chrome/userChrome.css ?

Alternatively, is there a css tweak that is known to still be working in FF147?

I really do not like the new menu / toolbar in firefox nightly. I guess I hadn't really noticed the changes until now. But it takes up half the page of my browser. Who thought this was a good idea? - to put it smack dab in the middle of the page?! Not me, that is for sure! Ok. So can we see a normal toolbar/ menu bar/ and optional toolbar at the top of the page, please? I like things the way they were. With various options to add buttons and pages or things that we need?? My toolbars were stacked appropriately in roles, with everything I needed on them. And they were always in the same place. Not moving around like toys on the floor. Please, please bring back the old toolbars for this old cranky punk chick. Thanks!! Love Firefox, stop messing with it. 💗💗💗😸😸

I installed the new 140 update, and now when I open the bookmark sidebar, the "Search bookmarks" field is highlighted, and the entire list of bookmarks is darkened to the point that it's pretty much unreadable. This was never the case before. I NEVER use the 'search bookmarks' function. My bookmarks are organized into folders and sorted alphabetically. How can I undo this setting so the sidebar looks like it used to?

Hello, Since the update on 24 June 2025, bookmarks are displayed in black text on a black background. Is this normal? If not, how can I resolve the issue? I had set it to dark mode, but even when I switched back to light mode, nothing changed. I would appreciate help from the community or Mozilla if anyone has a website address to contact them. Latest FF update changed the background of my bookmarks toolbar to a dark gray.. And made the text BLACK! Practically unreadable! Previously the toolbar was BLACK (Real 000 black) and the text was white.. As is my desktop.. Much easier on old eyes this way.. Is there a fix for this? I couldn't find one in Settings.. I've been using Firefox since the early days and XP.. I'm too old for more learning curves.. Help! (And thanks for wading through what's turned out to be another epistle.. Young men dream dreams.. Old men tell stories..It's an old guy thing.. )

The book mark side bar has become very dark ( BLACK ) since the your latest update and is not really visible. How do i change the writing so that it can been easy read ( WHITE )

Hallo, ich arbeite gerne mit geöffneter Sidebar und bisher (bis Firefox-Version: 139.0 waren sowohl die Ordner der Sidebar, wie auch die in Ordnern abgelegten Webseiteneinträge immer in weißer Farbe (vor dunklem Hintergrund). Jetzt nach dem Update von Firefox auf Vers.: 140.0 ist der Hintergrund der Sidebar 'dunkelgrau' und die Schrift der Ordner und Webseiteneinträge sind in schwarzer Farbe, sodaß man diese nicht mehr richtig sehen kann; lediglich die Icon's der Webseiteneinträge sind in der entsprechenden Farbe/Logo der Webseite korrekt zu sehen. Liegt das jetzt am Update von Firefox 139.0 auf 140.0 ?? Die Sidebar war bis gestern noch korrekt und lesbar dargestellt !!
