Got a new MAC Trying to delete old bookmarks but no go. The old bookmarks used to be in "Other bookmarks" but now they only show up in "All bookmarks" and the Star will not let me activate the Delete Bookmark button

For years had bookmarks in folders showing on Bookmark Toolbar. Today they are all gone. Still in my Bookmarks on the drop down Menu, but not appearing on the Toolbar. Please help. Can't seem to drop and drag them there. Also, the Bookmarks Toolbar keeps disappearing every time I go to look at a new tab.

Apprantly Firefox updated last night. I still show all the names of my bookmarks but NONE of them have any information in them. Probably lost my passwords too.

Tried all the fixes shown in prior posts. This is unacceptable !

Hi - I just reset my PC and trying to restore Firefox. I saved the default release folder (qejikze4.default-release-1669319412153) which contains the latest bookmarks in the "bookmarkbackups" folder. I tried to just replace the bookmark file in the new install (how I previously transfered them), but I can't find the files in the latest V.120 version. Any suggestions on how I can do it?

Bookmarks. I can't seem to log into my saved sites on any given day. I can log in on Monday but on Tues it will not log me in. Hell, it will not even show that I've got the saved bookmark at times. Yesterday I did banking from my PC just fine and today I tried again to log in and it failed, so I had to deleted everything AGAIN and started fresh. This has been happening for 2 months and it is affecting ALL my logins. I get locked out, delete, refill and repeat....I've had to call my banks and amazon because the switch over from Google was a gong show...I got locked out of every account. I can log in on my phone while looking at this stupid computer telling me NOPE you login password or name is wrong. Oh, and the pc doesn't sync the bookmarks with my phone so I've hand to manually add the bookmark.....I've actually had to carry my physical bookmark book for a month because I'm on the move a lot and couldn't trust firefox would let me into any of my sites....

New computer, new Firefox install. Old computer has the Library Icon in the upper right corner when the browser opens. I imported my bookmarks, but can't figure out how to get the Library Icon positioned.

I just downloaded the latest Firefox browser, and it asked me to import all of the my bookmarks, but it only grabbed the ones from Chrome. All of my former bookmarks that were saved in the previous Firefox browser are gone! Most of my useful bookmarks were in Firefox. Where are they, and how do I get them back?

I wish to save my bookmarks in alphabetical order, first the folders and then any bookmarks that have not yet been allocated to a specific folder. This used to be possible as I gave reorganised the older bookmark folders are in alphabeical order previously. This seems to be no longer posible. I can reorganise them in View but cannot save them. I have used Firefox with sync since sync were released. Today (25th dec), all of a sudden hundreds of saved passwords are gone, just 9 out of at least 200.

I have changed the password for my account and logged in. Tried to logout and login again but just 9 passwords is found, extremely frustrating!

Anyone got a clue what has happened?

The book mark menu option (displaying the bookmark menu and allowing selection) has disappeared from the book mark tool bar and I can't find a way to add it back. Any suggestions?

Hello, I use the Manage Bookmarks / Library function a lot. However, it drives me crazy that the library always opens at the folder: Other Bookmarks/BSP2 trash folder . . . DO NOT REMOVE! I then have to navigate up to find the folder I need. This gets really tedious after a while.

Is there a way to get the library to open at another folder, preferably the most recent folder?

I don't have a home page button on my browser. How do I add a home page button? Also, when I navigate to a new page my bookmark tool bar at the top disappears. I only have the bookmark tool bar on my home page. I want it to show on every tab I open so I can easily navigate from there rather than having to go back to my home page every time. This problem started when I got a new computer. The browser works fine on my old computer.

Hi, i had a problem with my computer that required me to reinstall windows. Now i downloaded firefox after installing the new windows and logged in my account but no history or bookmarks found.

I start Firefox from a batch file (Win7) on the first boot of the day. Manually I choose my "NEWS" bookmarks folder, then slide down to "Open all in tabs". (attached image) (Then I go pour a coffee while the news article tabs open and load data!)

Please and thank you, is there a way to specify this action from the command line? And if so, what is it?

I believe that I could use such a mechanism in other ways, such as opening all tabs in my "Forums" folder of bookmarks, or on Mondays, opening all tabs in my "Weekly" bookmarks folder.

Two computers. Both computers name version of Firefox and same version Of Windows 10. On computer 1 drag and drop no longer works. I can click star next url and manually to bookmark toolbar. I also cannot reorder on tool bar by dragging and dropping by selecting.

How do I know I'm doing it correctly? On computer 2 it works exactly as should. Click on padlock and drop or click on entry and toolbar and reorder. Same extensions etc and do not have a bookmark extension though have tab session manager. Same version both computers. Only difference in browser is number of tabs open. x 10 difference in number of tabs open computer 1 versus 2.

If I put firefox in troubleshoot mode with extensions etc off or create a brand new profile and try same problem.

I exported bookmarks to an HTML file from Firefox on a Win10 computer. Copied the file over to a new Win11 computer and then imported the bookmarks to a new installation of Firefox.

The bookmarks show up in the "library" that displays when I click on "manage bookmarks" but they do not appear in the toolbar at the top of the page. I don't see any way to get them to show up.

Why does my tool bar disappear after typing in website in search bar? Book marks appear when I open a new window, however as soon as I type something in the search bar or click on a website the book marks disappear. I have to open a new window for them to reappear again. I didn't change any settings, it happened on it's own. I've added a screen shot for when I open a new window (book marks appear) and a screen shot for when I've typed something in the search bar (book marks disappear). Thank you!
