Unsure which 'topic' deletion applies to. All of a sudden I am unable to add or delete from my bookmarks and I think I may not be able to delete anything anywhere else either. Why has this occurred, suddenly, and how can I fix it without hiring an IT pro? I have been using Firefox as a browser for over twenty years and this has never happened before. I am using Windows 10 and Firefox 146.0.1. Thanks, James.

When I choose to bookmark a website, I am no longer offered a chance to save to where I want it saved.

So, now I have to bookmark a page, and open the bookmark menu again to EDIT the bookmark to move it. This is Horrible. I have to do this eachj time I bookmark a page. I am veriy organized and have dozens of bookmark folder, some with folders within folders... etc.

Onliy children need to be treated this way.

I have searched the settings and find nothing. I am not using any add-on that has anything to do with bookmark. I do not use the bookmark toolbars or other bookmark interfaces. Just the file/edit... menu "bookmarks" option.,

Has this ability been removed?

My favorites/bookmarks has too many duplicate saved web sites on it, How do I remove the duplicates? This was not of my doing most have been repeated on my favorites bar/list 3 or more times. I am not sure how to delete the duplicates and not the originals. Can anyone Help me with this?

I have multiple "instances" of all of my bookmarks in my Library--specifically, the Bookmarks Menu, the Folders within that menu and all of the individual bookmarks within each folder. (See attached; I'm just keeping the Bookmark Menu level but trust me, each one of those 5 instances has the exact same list of Folders and associated bookmarks.) I just want to see ONE instance of them in my library, not all of these redundant instances. When I delete ANY bookmark or folder in ANY of the multiple instances, ALL instances of that bookmark or folder get deleted. Searching the forums, I get solutions for combining duplicates, or backup/restoring bookmarks, or "turning off sync." But none of these relate to my issue (e.g., sync has never been on). They don't act like duplicates (where if you delete one the other remains). It acts as if there are multiple "pointers" to the same menu/folder/bookmark.

Can someone please assist with how I can get rid of the redundant instances/listings of the Bookmark Menu, folders and bookmarks without deleting all of them? I'd ideally like to keep the first one, underneath the Bookmarks Toolbar, so it shows up at the top of my screen.

Am I understanding this correctly?

HTML backup (bookmarks) doesn't support tags and annotations, but JSON backup does, and JSON backup doesn't preserve the website favicons, but HTML backup does?  

So, what I can do, is restore my (saved) bookmarks using JSON backup, then restore the HTML backup, this would get my tags and annotations, and the website favicons back? But the downside, I will need to remove duplicates?

Transferred everything to a new computer (Windows 11). All my bookmarks transferred just fine but the little logos are all gone and every bookmark has only the little "globe" logo. How can I get back all the individual logos? Thanks, Len

Hi, I'm looking for a way for everything saved on my firefox account including bookmarks, favorites, history etc.. to be automatically saved/backed up, EXACTLY the same way like Apple has it with iCloud.

If I lose my phone, I can log into icloud and get everything 100% the way it was on my new phone.

If I reset my computer, I want to be able to log into my firefox account and have everything exactly the same.

How to do this? I was told the firefox account sync doesn't back anything up...

Hello, I use the Manage Bookmarks / Library function a lot. However, it drives me crazy that the library always opens at the folder: Other Bookmarks/BSP2 trash folder . . . DO NOT REMOVE! I then have to navigate up to find the folder I need. This gets really tedious after a while.

Is there a way to get the library to open at another folder, preferably the most recent folder?

I cannot figure out how to export my bookmarks from Mozilla Account. On the desktop browser when I open "Manage Bookmarks" and select Phil's Bookmarks, I am able to export the bookmarks from the Mozilla account.

The resulting html export file does not contain the bookmarks from Mozilla Account. There also does not seem to be a way to export those bookmarks from your online Mozilla Account interface.

How do I export the bookmarks from my Mozilla Account?

I purchased a new computer, and they were to transfer all my stuff from my old computer, but they told me that my bookmarks are in a file that they cannot open. I would like to be able to get to them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Firefox used to open the bookmarks to the left showing all the bookmarks, ever since that last update not the go right and aren't even the bookmarks I want, how do I change it back

When I open Firefox on my new computer all the bookmarks are showing at the top. I only want my default bookmark toolbar to show. The only solution I could find was to drag it into the toolbar area.

When you add a page to your bookmarks a window appears that asks for a name and which folder you want to save it on. By default it recommends you a folder but there is a button to "un-hide" your full folders list. Is there a way to make this the default? As in, i dont have to click "un-hide" everytime (...because firefox never picks the folder i want)

I imported my bookmarks, but they're not displaying in the bookmarks toolbar. I've tried hiding it and unhiding and restarting the program/my computer. The imported bookmarks can be seen when I go to "recent bookmarks" in the manage your bookmarks section. It also says that they're listed in the bookmarks menu, but they're not visible outside of the manage bookmarks settings window.
