Gentile Team Mozilla, vi scrivo per sottoporvi una proposta che ritengo molto importante per migliorare l’accessibilità e l’inclusione digitale: l’implementazione della funzione “sottotitoli in tempo reale” direttamente nel browser Firefox. Questa funzione, già presente in Google Chrome, permette di generare automaticamente sottotitoli per qualsiasi contenuto audio o video riprodotto nel browser, indipendentemente dalla piattaforma o dal servizio di origine. Sarebbe quindi estremamente utile per tutte le persone sorde o con difficoltà uditive, ma anche per chi vive in contesti dove l’audio non è sempre disponibile o utilizzabile. Introdurre i sottotitoli in tempo reale su Firefox rappresenterebbe un passo decisivo verso l’accessibilità universale, garantendo a milioni di utenti la possibilità di fruire dei contenuti online senza barriere. Dear Mozilla Team, I am writing to propose an important feature that would greatly improve accessibility and digital inclusion in Firefox: the implementation of real-time captions directly in the browser. This feature, already available in Google Chrome, automatically generates subtitles for any audio or video content played within the browser, regardless of the platform or service. It would therefore be extremely valuable not only for deaf or hard-of-hearing users, but also for anyone in situations where audio cannot be played or easily understood. Hi, when I want to zoom in to the website page, I cant seem to find the horizontal scroll, thus I cant see the left side of the page that I zoomed in. Please make the horizontal scroll available. Thank you.

When using any dark Firefox theme on ChromeOS, the contextual menu text and background are both dark. This means there is little to no contrast, and so the text is very difficult to read.

Unfortunately, the ChromeOS screenshot tool doesn't work on Linux apps, and so I'm unable to share a screenshot. Tested using several dark themes, including the default -- behaviour was consistent in all.

Firefox installed using the official package through the built-in ChromeOS Linux VM "crostini". Issue has been reported by other users on other platforms in the past, so this seems to be a long-standing bug.

The Proton VPN extension/add-on usage can override the Firefox language setting when it assigns a user to a node in another land. That land's language can suddenly become the default language one sees, and may remain in spite of trying to reset the Firefox language default. E.g., if one is assigned a VPN node in Japan, suddenly the general language one sees is Japanese, and it remains in spite of disabling Proton VPN and even after exiting and signing back in. The only alternative one has is to request a different node and then wait for the timeout (30 sec., 2 minutes, etc.) for another and hopefully understandable language/country node.

I raised this issue with Proton, and they maintain that loss of one's language proves that Proton VPN is working (see my response under ratings)

1. How does someone accept "working" VPN when one loses their ability to comprehend the displayed language? In my past experiences with other VPNs (NordVPN, etc.) they never corrupted my default browser language.

2. Accessibility issues???

I’ve been using Firefox with a screen reader, and while it works for most basic browsing, I’ve noticed some issues with certain sites. For example, form fields aren’t always announced properly, and sometimes navigation landmarks are skipped. When I test the same pages in Chrome, the experience feels smoother.

I’d like to keep using Firefox, so I’m wondering — is there something I can adjust in my settings to improve screen reader support? Or is this more of a compatibility issue that needs to be reported as a bug?

If others here use screen readers with Firefox, I’d love to know what has worked for you. Are there specific add-ons, preferences, or troubleshooting steps that make accessibility better?

I have been using Dashlane Password for a long time. For several weeks it hasn't worked. The program used to ask for my address and master password, but it no longer does. Now it asks for a code number of 6ix digits instead, stating that the number has been sent to my address. However, I never receive the number. My address has never changed and is the first thing it asks for. Then, no code arrives.I have sent many requests, including specifics about the change and lack of access, but have not gotten a reply to any. I think Dashlane died and customer support also did. My 147 passwords, financial information, personal address and SSN are all still there at Dead Dashlane. If they won't answer Mozzilla either at least I tried.

I like the option, and use it, but haven't found any way to toggle back to automatic so I can read webpages normally. I've tried search in the community forum(s) as well. No luck.

I have arthrytis in my hand, and trying to keep that narrow moving in and out bar on the right of the page or drop down like the tab menu, is agonizing. WHY NOT MAKE IT WIDER????

I have Verizon FIOS and have been able to receive cable channels on my laptop until recently. Now I cannot access them without a sign-in which leads to some sort of error that I don't understand. Any help?

When I open up my facebook page it loads but is blank. When I open my youtube channel it opens but when click video in opens I can see chat and can talk in chat, but the video doesn't play wheel keeps spinning. Hello Mozilla community,

I want to share my extremely frustrating experience while trying to create desktop shortcuts for Firefox profiles. I have two profiles, and despite following all standard methods (including manually navigating to the profile folders), nothing worked. The usual steps, including directly creating shortcuts from the profile folder or using suggested tools, failed.

I specifically wanted a way to create exact shortcuts for each profile without manually editing anything. Even after testing everything, the only option left seems to be permanently leaving the profile inside Firefox and opening it from there, which defeats the purpose of quick access.

Due to this unnecessarily complicated process and lack of practical solutions, I have decided to leave Firefox permanently and switch to another browser.

Has anyone successfully created direct shortcuts for multiple Firefox profiles in Windows 11 without manual editing? Any practical advice would be appreciated, although I’m already moving away from Firefox.
