I don't know when it started (quite awhile), but when I go to some websites even in FF safe mode, I wait a long time but get nothing displayed and it stops spinning/waiting (the circle arrow upper left stops). Occasionally when I reload, it comes up but usually it doesn't. Other websites it works fine.

In fact, if I browse to some websites, sit and wait awhile, then go to chrome or edge, type in the same website, the page displays even while FF is sitting there waiting.

ebay.com seems to work great, but for instance this morning, this one doesn't: https://www.crowdpac.com/news/741938 but sometimes this works: https://www.crowdpac.com then try it again (refresh) and it never responds.

And in fact, I'm using Edge to submit this question because when I browsed to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/desktop#search in Firefox/Safe and clicked on the Sign-In/Up button, nothing happened. With Edge it worked fine and I'm able to type this in.

hello, many years ago, I used to be able to keep my browser history for years. now it only saves about 1 year and 6 months. since it is my memory, I found it very helpful. I can't find any information on how to customize that feature so it is never deleted. I'm using firefox 115.2.1esr on windows 7. thanks a lot for your help.

Many websites I use on a regular basis have become unusable on firefox which i have used for over a decade. I can't change my Flickr cover photo because the pop up window is too huge, can't view a complete google doc because the thing is enormous, etc. The issue is that I MUST have the ability to set text in firefox to larger and I do so via the view - zoom in and zoom text only options. I have to have this ability because I have a visual disability. I do not have this issue using chrome but I detest chrome and want to keep using firefox, but entire portions of windows are cut off when they open up and I can't access them by zooming out either. The only thing that changes is the text gets so small that it is totally unreadable. This is a HUGE problem for me. I will NOT change my default windows setting to try and fix a firefox issue because that then screws up my window sizes for games, programs etc for my other software that I also use daily. So I won't be changing what works for 20 programs via windows settings to make ONE browser work better. This is a firefox problem, and firefox needs to fix it. I have tried multiple solutions cited online and nothing is working. If firefox is trying to get rid of it's users with visual disabilities, this is the way to go. Olá. Já faz um tempo, mas meu web wpp não carrega mais nenhuma figurinha. Alguém conseguiu solucionar isso já? Ela fica como um arquivo de midia por baixar. Minha versão do ff é 117.0.1.

Basically as the title says. The only sites this is an exception for is youtube as well as big streaming services but on youtube the video seems like it takes longer to buffer and has a lot more pauses.

I am on Version 117.0.1 which was installed on September 12th for me. I did not notice any issues prior.

I am on a macbook air which is updated to latest software.

I have tried the following:

Running it in troubleshoot mode. It did not fix the issue.

Turning on/off autoplay. It didn't work.

Clearing cookies/cache. Nothing.

Started firefox without a theme. Didn't do anything.

I unchecked "Use hardware acceleration when available." which did nothing.

Sites I have tried watching videos on include:

reddit

pornhub/other porn sites (for testing purposes...)

instagram

Vimeo

Firefox stopped computer from working in the middle of important file upload to force an update. Now it will not attach any file to email at all, not even a link. Have shut down computer twice to restart and still nothing will attach.

Embedded videos play on Safari but not Firefox. When I looked at the previous questions about this they were addressed in June 2012. Apparently it is happening again, at least in my case. Maybe it happened with the last upgrade, I don't know, but I never had this problem before. Would appreciate any input. I haven't changed any of my settings. Thanks.

Is it to possible to set Firefox to use a 2.2 gamma instead of the sRGB piecewise function, when enabling color management?

In case this is not possible, could the devs please consider adding this option? SRGB piecewise function is not appropriate for LCD displays with contrast ratios below 2000:1.

Restore previous tabs stopped working after updating to 117.0.1, browser launches the home page instead. Settings unchanged since previous install (see screenshot). OS Win10.

I Closed the browser and forgot that I had a private one open too. When I went to open the main Firefox window up, my previous session was wiped! I already tried the right clicking plus sign method to no avail. It just brings up the one I had after searching how to bring back the session and then accidentally closed the browser after. Any tips on how to get it back? Why does this happen just because you have a private window open??? Change that ASAP!

After update to 115.2.1, FF crashes at startup for one User, but not the other. FF Safe Mode also crashes (SHIFT key). I tried running the 115.2.1 install on the problem User, but it also crashes right after completion. The second user is handicapped, so I have yet to try to uninstall/reinstall because FF runs on her User and I hate to screw things up so that she is locked out.

I need to install Firefox on a new laptop under an existing account, but a new account was already created on the new device. All it will let me do is reinstall under the newly created account.

I just purchased bose 700s and I can hear noises for a fraction of a second every time I move the video forward beyond what is already in the buffer. On chrome the scrubbing is perfectly fine.

It is really annoying, any help? Thanks!

pd. I noticed this doesn't happen with another pair of headphones so the 700s in themselves play a factor. However it never happens when using chrome so I guess is the combination of the two-

After a Firefox restart for a version upgrade, there are 8 windows listed in the Windows menu, but only 4 are visible. Trying to select one of the invisible windows from the window menu, or cycling through open windows with cmd-` displays nothing. I tried checking other desktops to see if the windows had landed there, but they're not. The missing windows don't show up in Mission Control.

I also tried exiting FIrefox, deleting the xulstore.json file, and restarting. This had no effect.

I'm on a 2021 M1 Max MacBook Pro Firefox 117.0.1 Mac OS 13.5.2 (22G91)

Any ideas? This is a weird one.

Hi! I have two Firefox accounts, one for work and one for personal use. I often have them running on the same computer at once (this does cause them to crash occasionally, but not often enough to be a problem). However, today I tried to log into a website where I regularly do freelance work and received this error code: "Error code: SSL_ERROR_PROTOCOL_VERSION_ALERT"

I would assume something was wrong with the website itself, however when I went to that same site on my other account, it loaded just fine. I've restarted my computer, restarted firefox, deleted cookies and caches and browser history, but still get the same message on my work account. Any idea how to fix this?
