Why Firefox lacks having right click option (context menu) for multiple search engines like Chrome (Chromium browsers) and Edge has somewhat "Chrome-like omnibar in Mozilla Firefox"?

If I am using a certain search engine as default but don't use it all the time or want to use another without changing the default search engine or want to search a term or sentence via any search engine, then Firefox has no such option or addons (yes, checked thoroughly for latter).

Opera has from day one, Vivaldi also has it, Chrome allows it via extensions, Edge does via addons, Brave as chrome does via addons, Naver Whale (South Korean browser, underrated, seriously) has options to put more than 1 search engine for search results.

Why Firefox is seriously so old and outdated and nowhere close to standards of 2024 and 2025?

Somebody made a post 10 years ago around 2014 🤯🤯🤯 and Firefox, as usual went their way as they are doing now.

I'm using Floorp and its working perfectly aside from this one or two pixel thick line of white that completely borders the left side of my screen every time I open the Browser. Is there any way I can fix this?s

 I have Firefox 140.0 on Windows 11 23H2.  I just noticed that the Favorites Sidebar text and background are both dark.  The History Sidebar does not have this problem.  Changing either Firefox or Windows color scheme has no effect.  I'm pretty sure this happened with the latest update.

I am 82 years old and have Essential Tremor. I am on medications but my hands still shake enough to give me problems with your audio volume sliders.

Is there a way to make the audio volume sliders wider?

If not, there should be.

I DON'T KNOW IF I CHOSE CORRECT TOPIC, BUT I CHOSE THE DARK READER MODE THINKING IT MIGHT BE USEFUL FOR MY EYES. BUT I DON'T REALLY CARE FOR THE DARKNESS OF IT, AND I CERTAINLY DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. BUT I'M NOT SEEING WHERE I CAN DISABLE THAT AND GO BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS BEFORE. PLEASE ADVISE.

Back in the days it was always possible to change Proxy port number (or, I believe, any other numeric value) by moving the mouse scrolling wheel when the cursor is placed inside the related field. I don't know whose intelligent decision it was to disable this functionality, but it has gone since the last update (v130.0). Now the window scrolls regardless of the cursor position. It looks like it works fine, but for those who are used to this kind of functionality, it turns out to be inconvenient.

Please, roll this back before it's too late :) Thank you.

The keyboard shortcut L of "copy link" in right menu over a link is inconvenient for most right-handed people. I want it back to old keyboard shortcut A.

After new version 134 update, the shortcut L to A is not working again.

Hello I can use mouse because of my condition. I use a stylus tablet wacom cintiq companion. I cant move the tabs around and some other functionality doesnt work such as pressing certain buttons, fox example download button for the snipping tool in firefox.

with mouse it works but not stylus. it started working when i turn off windows ink but I lose the scrolling feature which is something I really need. I tried turning on and off some about:config settings but no luck there. I reset firefox but that didnt work. I tried the edge browser and I get no problems with edge. Other firefox forks have the same issue. I tried windows settings but no luck there.

I am (again) running into trouble with spelling.

Doesn't quite work. Wrong things declared, etc.

I see a "badly spelt" word. Double click, go to add dictionary.

To the best of my knowledge, it is installed. Others point me to about:config spellcheck.dictionary

But that is not really offered to me when I am typing the name. So probably doesn't exist.

Can we get a setting that disable the Quick Find feature or at least its keyboard shortcut.

It breaks keyboard shortcuts on multiple sites, as it is often used to select the search bar(Youtube, Github, ...)

I'm using my MX master 3's sidescroll to control the volume. I recently switched to firefox, but I noticed that the volume function doesn't work when mozilla is the active app. I do not have mozilla specific settings and it works with other browsers. Any solutions?

I have noticed that in versions of Firefox newer than ESR 115.7 (and early 120s in the main release channel) I get eye strain while using Firefox. This issue didn't happen with earlier versions of Firefox - at least since the Proton UI changeover. And this issue doesn't exist on other software on my system. I haven't changed my Firefox settings.

As a result of this I haven't been able to update my installation of Firefox. I'd like to try to track down what changed around that time and see if I can find a workaround or possibly submit a bug? Is anyone familiar with graphics related changes that occurred around that time? How might I go about figuring this out? I'd like to keep up with the new features and security updates.
