I can't play any youtube videos on my firefox. All my programs are update to date. Also youtube videos are working for my internet explorer but not on my firefox. I have the latest version 3.6.13

I'm on a PC 32 bit home basic vista.

My Firefox often freezes when I'm trying to open a site in one tab or several. The freezing lasts for a couple of seconds but its really frustrating.

The version is the latest stable (3.6.13) I've tried re-installing the browser, but the broblem persists.

Within the last couple days I'm getting the most annoying pop up ads...in the top right hand corner it says "SKIP THIS AD" and you have to click on it to get past it.

I've searched all around the net and I keep reading that this is specific to FireFox. I've tried running my spyware and protection software, all with no help.

I'm running Windows 7 64bit. I've installed the add on called "Ad Blocker Plus" and have added the different suggested filters, all with no help at all.

Can someone please tell me how to COMPLETELY disable these annoying ads. I've been a Firefox user for as long as I can remember...if I don't get this completely sorted out VERY soon I'm going to completely switch over to Safari.

Hi. I am having trouble getting to the log in page with firefox. For the last few days. I can get there OK through Safari. So has Google done something that stops the web page? In an attempt to get us to go to chrome? Any ideas anyone please.

I cannot print emails anymore and I have to print other things from web searches with no results. Paper just feeds straight through the printer and print previews are blank. I can print pdfs etc from my documents and did print from internet explorer last night.

When checking my gmail and hotmail accounts, the back button fails to return to my previous page. For example, I can click the little down arrow along the right-side of the navigation button and see that Google is let's say five (three, ten, one, seven it doesn't matter) pages down the history list but I cannot get there with the back button in any way, shape or form. I can click all day long and I remain at the same page.

This is a common problem that has been around for awhile (search it yourself) and has not been addressed in any fashion.

1. No, clearing the cache does nothing.

2. No, I have no add-ons or extensions.

3. No, this behavior is not present in Internet Explorer 8 or 9.

4. Yes, I'm running the latest version - 3.6.13.

I would really like to use Firefox but with all the bugs, and this one especially, I'm forced to use IE. A significant reason for using a particular browser is ease of use. You folks may have a more secure browser than IE but at least IE works and doesn't feel like I'm driving over a pothole ridden road.

And nice attempt to discourage forum participation - seriously, can you make it any more cumbersome to post comments?

I have tried looking through all the setting that it gave me and i can not find when it wont let me open a new tab. All the settings i have are the default settings and before it happened i hadn't even been into the setting so its not like i was messing with them and then it messed up it just happened one time. I do not have any viruses or anything because i use 3 different virus scans and they say my computer its clean. Also my virus scanning programs are up to date i updated them today.

When I get a link sent in an email, the link no longer opens when I click on it. When I click on the link, Firefox and the open internet tabs appear on my screen, but the new link does not open. I must manually copy the link, then paste it in the address bar to get it to open.

Firefox crashes unexpectedly when loading some pages. It does not crash on specific pages. It will crash unexpectedly on any website.

I have settings set to send reports to Firefox, but I have never received a response or fix. 

I tried fixing the problem using the knowledge base. It did not fix the problem.

Whenever I attempt to print something from Firefox (email, receipt, and so on), printing fails and I get the message "an unknown error occurred while printing." Printing from Internet Explorer works without any problem.

I am Having a little annoying problem the last couple of days at first i set my browser to open any link to a new tab but recently it doesnt work anymore every link i now click just changes the current page instead of opening a new tab it is no big deal i can still use my middle mouse button to open a new tab but still i would like to have my old setting back

ever since my laptop got upgraded to Win 7 x64 , and the latest Firefox was installed , occasionally it downgrades to version 3.16.13 (consistently , always to this release !) . Tried deleting Firefox now several times for brand new install. Successfully , uneventfully installs , works fine for a couple of weeks or days and then downgrades again. When it happens , it pops up a message for a reboot and after reboot the 3.16.13 Firefox starts with a request for upgrade and plug-ins. Otherwise Firefox works fine and I very much prefer it to other browsers. Symantec does not indicate any malware on scans on my laptop. Any comment on reasons why it downgrades or how to diagnose this event , would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

How do I get rid of it? I have removed the program, cleared the cookies and cache and restarted my computer.

I tried changing keyword.url string in about:config from MyStart to "http://www.google.com.my/search?q=", clicked OK and rebooted, but the search box at top right is still the same MyStart Search.

With the possibly millions of people suffering from this including myself, it amazes me this is an issue Mozilla has been unable (0r perhaps unwilling) to fix, despite the fact it has been in at least a dozen versions! I can only assume that this is the result of the really crappy way Version 3 manages Bookmarks; as it can't accommodate bookmarks beyond a certain point, so I have another idea...

If you load the JSON file into notepad or similar application, you are able to see all the bookmarks you have stored. Using this data coupled with the "Import HTML" function, is it possible to create the missing bookmarks by editing the HTML file?

Today I noticed that increasingly, I was not able to effectively do any type of search because important text was overwritten in red. In troubleshooting, I read that it could be Persona (I uninstalled) as well as Themes (I uninstalled everything other than Compact Classic and I use default). After that when I could not find any info from Firefox help, I was doing Google search but noticed that every site was overwritten with gray-there was only a google.com place that did not have overwriting-In Firefox data, I am told that no one has this problem As an edit, after I clicked to post,there were words were covered with different colors-I did not take any action to take any action to create the colors. Perhaps on this page, it is set up for colors to be sctivated but I did not create the colors and it has been the colors which at times have been so very dark that reading the text under the coloration, is impossible. I have used this computer since Dec 2009 without difficulty but now, this makes it difficult to see. I cannot believe that something like this had taken over my computer to this degree but it is serious enough that I am considering that this PC may be history! I also reread the info that shows in my post and XP as OS does not show in the main part of the post. It still shows as Windows Server 2003 but it should be XP. I have been very close to changing it to Windows 7 because this was purchased as a Windows 7 downgrade to XP as a business computer-it is also a 17 inch laptop rather than the desktop as represented on the right column here. I am starting to feel as though this is a legal type collection of data which is unusual so I am attempting to get all things corrected in the beginning but that is becoming very challenging.

I all of my apps in my computer I can use alt+arrow key to move the curser one word left or right and cmd+arrow key to move the curser to beginning or end of line. But in Firefox this doesn't work other than in certain windows (like this one). I use Mac OS 10.7.3 and Firefox 3.6.13 Please advice /Janne
