I just bought a new computer. How do I sync firefox on my old computer with firefox on my new computer. The same for thunderbird mail. Please help. I am not a computer genius. Dave Muran [edited email and phone# from public community support forum)

I have an Intel I5 PC that runs MS Win XP. The reason that I'm still running that ancient OS is because of whats inside it. I have two old boards in it that I still use and quit honestly can't afford several thousand dollars to replace them. And the new machine to go with them.

I need to get online to download the few pieces of software I need That are still out there. But like most sites they examine your machine to see what versions you need and it's a download and install package. So I can't use a different PC.

My question is: Is there a version of Firefox I can download that will work on XP, and not be ignored like is done to IE 8. And that I can then transfer to the XP (service pack 3) box for installation?

Is this the only way to send thunderbird an email??? If it is that's OK. I am a fairly new customer of Thunderbird. I have a new laptop and want to find out if Thunderbird has any questions forb me to answer. I think my password is OK, cause I signed in somehow. Following a recent Firefox update, 1.48.0 I think, the search box in the middle of the page no longer works, any attempt to type there ends up in the address bar. I have tried setting "browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar" to false and other suggested fixes on the internet but it made no difference. I am running Windows 11 Pro, fully updated. Hope you can help Regards Keith

Please return my Computer to using Firefox default as my browser as it was 2/01 /2026.Ive tried several times to do this w/o success . I was using windows 11 and have been trying to get rid of MS365 which I never used but have been charged for a solution , but have been blocked and refused cancellation after they asked me to change my email address and PW . Insanely confusing !

When I tried to log in to my account earlier today, I found that it was gone. I used my recovery key to create a new password and now lost all data, passwords etc. What do I do now? Why did this happen? I am not very computer literate but have tried all of the suggestions in your help forum and nothing works. Nothing has changed on my computer since my last login yesterday. Firefox is my home page and browser.

I am getting repeated pop up "alerts" from Firefox, McAfee and others about Trojan Horse and other viruses. I did not click on the links offered. How do I stop them from coming?

I am helping a friend who has a problem when opening any browser software on an old laptop so I cannot operate the syncing option. The old laptop uses Windows 10.

I want to transfer (to new laptop running Windows 11) the history, bookmarks and passswords by copying from users/hername/AppData/ but do not know which files need to be copied

I know you can block it and opt out of the AI options in Firefox, but just wanted to voice my opinion.

We did not ask for it, nor do we want or need it. The bubble's gonna pop soon and then we are stuck with these AI artifacts.

By default the AI options should be blocked/off/opt out. If we want to use it, we'll opt in ourselves.
