hello, i searched a bit and refreshed FF, started in FF in safe mode(currently in safe mode), shifted to work offline then shifted back, as possible solutions. No proxy is selected in network preferences. All that did was make it so whatsmyip.com now says no proxy when it said proxy in use before. it's showing las vegas as my location this time. My real location is hawaii and all my other browsers show this. The "problem" is months old. I have to verify that im not a robot regularly, and certain sites give an error 403, (iirc), but work fine with safari because it isn't using a proxy. Is it possible there is some sort of malware causing this? mac os10.12.6 FF88.0.1 (64bit)

Just read an article that you are very dependent on funds from Google and that you have decided to join the other "woke" corporations to censor those with whom Firefox does not agree politically. What is your policy?

I have used Opera for about a year.. before Opera I always used Firefox, Now that I want to come back to Firefox it does not keep me logged in on some sites like: google, Outlook, Paypal, etc, etc

In my privacy settings I've checked everything, and it says that Firefox is auto-filling in passwords... I need help please.

I installed Firefox Multi-Account Containers and found it working OK, on most pages. On some however it prevents me from logging in, for example on https://login.blau.de (German mobile phone provider) I end up consistently in an error message that "for technical reasons this website is not available". I don't get this error when I login with a browser WITHOUT Firefox Multi-Account Containers enabled. Why do I run into an error when logging in on some sites, but not on all? How can I disable MAC for specific websites?

This seems to be just for Amazon at the moment, but this does not happen on other browsers like Google Chrome.

When I input my password, when I click "login", it changes my password to a long string of encrypted letters, numbers & symbols.

This is just annoying at this point, but, yeah. If anyone has a way to get around this, or disable it somehow, I would be very interested. Thank you!

i keep adding sites to my list of exceptions and mark them as Blocked, and usually when check again [as now] the list is empty. how do i stop this, why is FF losing my list? have i deleted something accidentally when zapping other items in my Manage Data list?

I am sat in front of a PC for most of my day. Firefox spends most of its time minimised while I use document and video applications. On average the Primary password login box will activate over everything I am doing frequently - by frequently I mean 2-3 times an hour or more. It is annoying and nonsensical. What am I doing wrong or is this simply a flaw in firefox? In my imagination at least it makes sense for it to ask me for a password when I want to use a password restricted domain.

Sometime since upgrading to Release 90 (now have 90.0.2) Firefox Browser has started asking that I enter my Primary Password several times each hour. I do not see a relationship with how the Browser is being used at the time.

Anyone know why this is happening?

I do not like the situation.

This seems to be a new "feature" in a recent upgrade (90+?). It is a pain, particularly on a media PC as it requires using a keyboard.

How to turn this off and go back to the old behavior?

I've used the "run" system and open the %temp% and deleted the temp files. It didn't delete the 137KB issue. I've used the "C:\WINDOWS\system32\cleanmgr.exe" to clean "windows C drive " and deleted more temp files. I've gone to "Settings" in Firefox and click on "Cookies and Site Data" and then click on "Clear Data" and that didn't delete the 137KB issue. What is odd about this there's no name on this file. The 137KB comes up at "Cookies and Site Data; "Your stored cookies, site data, and cache are currently using 137 KB of disk space". Could it be "BIOS"? It' been asking me to upload this software and I always click "later".

For some days now FF is always asking for my Primary Password, even if i already entered it. This is annoing because the alert takes the focus... Is there any setting / workaround to fix this?

this happens to me now and then and it is maddening. i just had to set up a new email account and password, and used the built in password saver feature in firefox, with usually is very good for this. but this time [and it has happened before] it did not have my email under the username field, so i was adding that and then suddenly the box vanished entirely. checking under my passwords, it was not saved at all. so now i am already locked out of my new email address i just made, it requires 2 step verification by default which was not set up yet. this system needs to be less accident prone than this so the end user can actually finish typing in their data and actually given the opportunity to save it.

I'll propose it here for the first time. I am a smartphone I don't have it, but can you register it with firefox as one of the security things you don't have? Because the browser constantly asks me to sign up for my android. Is it mysterious? I don't have an i-phone or another smartphone. Would this support be proof that someone is accessing it using my account? There have been a lot of suspicious accesses to my PC these days, and no matter how hard I try, I can't prevent it. So I have a suggestion for you. I want you to increase the hardness of security by registering that firefox users do not have smartphones. That way, you can block suspicious access to my PC and not feel uncomfortable. Can you know how unpleasant I am? I live in Japan. My PC terminal is connected to the corporate terminal of Osaka City Hall. Before I knew it. I just used Osaka City Hall for work! I don't live in this city. This criminal is probably using android. Register that the user does not have a smartphone and block from these things

Just downloaded FF91.0, and now my homepage opens with HTTPS not supported. In Settings the HTTPS-only Mode is set to Don't enable. Set site as an exception going through enable then disable mode. rebooted, still no luck. The site is HTTP://www.bom.gov.au (Weather Bureau), no personal or secure information transferred. Any suggestions?

Firefoxe's Password manager has a flaw. It at times uses names for pw identification. Many sites today uses your e-mail addy for its name. When Firefox sees this it will ask should it update the pw. It doesnt seem to realize that this name is used across many sites. If someone mistakenly updates the pw, you wont know until you log in, which site had its PW mistakenly updated.

How do you disable / fix this feature.

There is also a auto fill in that seem to only rely on the site. This is the repair. If it were to be possible to make firefox use the sites info, it should alleviate the problem of mistaking every email address name on a sites password verification list as the same as evey-other.

Is there a switch for this feature.
