Since this week I have been unable to access flightradar24 web site due to a problem with WebGL. It tells me that I need a compatible browser e.g. Firefox

I am running Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon on and I7 processor with a NVIDIA Corporation GK208B [GeForce GT 710] graphics card.

I have edited the about:config file as follows:

webgl.force_enabled TRUE

but noted a collection of failed messages as shown on the attached screen shot.

This web site is still accessible using chromium on the same computer, suggesting that there isn't a hardware problem.

Hello, I'm using Firefox 100.0.2 (OS: Ubuntu 20.04). It is not possible to manage if/when firefox updates are installed. In the options-section, there are some information about the current version number, however no chance to configure anything update-related. Updates just happens automatically and interrupt current sessions, leading to spontaneous (and surprising) dysfunction of the opened browser. That's very annoying in case of video conferencing, for example, because it is not possible to open any new tab or windows, always the note there "you have to restart firefox now" - in practice, just like a crashing error. And, the suggested restart does not re-open the current opened tabs/URLs!

Furthermore, within some updates, my language settings get lost, so it turns to English language automatically and I always must add my language packet manually again and again. Thats really annoying and maybe completely disruptive for people that are not able to read in English!

Is there any chance to come over this? Otherwise I guess I must leave using firefox as browser, however this would be not the aim I actually follow. Thx!

When I am typing an address or search term in the address bar, something happens to convert fl to "I. For example, as I type netflix.com, it ends up being net"Iix.com. The address still works (I end up on netlfix) but it looks like there is a bug in how the text is rendered in the address bar. I am on Firefox 100.0.2 on openSUSE Tumbleweed

I just installed Firefox 107.0 on a new installation of Linux. I'm trying to get it set up to work the way I'm accustomed to, and can't figure this out. Instead of having search results show up in the current tab, I want them to open in a new tab, as they always have for me. As this works Just Fine on my desktop, I see no reason that it wouldn't work on my new laptop. If anybody here knows, please let me know.

I use a lot of keyword search engines. This means I can type something like `kagi foobar` to search Kagi for `foobar`. However the awesome bar has a "feature" where if you type a question mark (?) anywhere it instead uses the default search engine. This means that `kagi How do I cook a turkey?` searches my default search engine for "kagi How do I cook a turkey?" rather than searching Kagi (based on the `kagi` keyword). Is there a way to disable this behaviour?

I have searched about:config and "Search Shortcuts" in preferences doesn't have a `?`. I never use `?` as a shortcut to search (I just type the keyword for the engine I want) so completely removing it would be perfect.

This issue has arisen on Firefox for Linux Mint (my current version is 123.0 (64bit)). I like Firefox, and I like its bookmarks toolbar, and have used it for many years, but there seems to be a new bug introduced today:- The bookmarks toolbar is present and correct when I start Firefox, but now it disappears as soon as I select any bookmark, or if I enter any web address or if I open a new tab. The [View >Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar > Alway Show] option is already selected, but the toolbar is no longer visible. If I click on it again, the bookmarks toolbar reappears (or I can restart Firefox, and this will also restore the toolbar). But the toolbar now disappears as soon as I use the browser in any way, and so is currently not really of practical use, as it needs constant restoring. Hope you can help resolve this. I use Firefox to download, copy, and store WikiSpecies pictures.

Currently, my .../Documents/WikiSpecies/Animalia_Plantae_8 directory holds what it says are 90,876 items, totalling 11.5 GB. I have plenty of unused space in that directory (over 91 GB), so space is not an issue.

Lately, when I try to install a new picture, I keep getting a warning that the picture is already stored. This MAY be because I am running out of new pictures, but I can't tell.

Is there any capacity limit to a WikiSpecies directory?

Generic Firefox 101 in Linux Mint Cinnamon 20.3 is installed in the /opt folder and on opening Firefox a activates a redirect page is activated.

I need help because on Firefox ESR that runs on Debian some css appears really too big. In this example I will show the difference between Firefox and Chrome. If I open this popup from Firefox it appears full width. In Chrome it appears correct. Also I noticed some Icons rendering incorrect.

Hi I have been experiencing rejection of access to many legitimate Web Sites. I have attached the error I get even when trying to get to a mozilla web page. This is getting both frustrating and limiting in my desire to support, which I do, Mozilla's strategy of privacy and freedom.

I am using Fedora Linux Version 34 and Firefox Version 100.0.2 64 Bit. I did not experience these problems months ago. I have kept everything up to date as far as I can with my OS limits, if any.

I want to examine what is going on and would like to know where to look. Any help would be appreciated ... Robert

As the title states. At least half the time when you try right-click and use the "Copy" function, the option is greyed out. If you try to Ctrl+Shift+C, it opens dev tools! This happens on multiple systems that I have that are based on Debian/Ubuntu. So basically, copy functionality is broken for Firefox Linux users...

When I restart my computer, I am logged out of all websites although I did not select settings such as "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed". This only happens with reboots and not on Suspend.

This behaviour only happens on my Garuda Linux and not on Pop-os. Thus I am not sure here is the right place to ask this question.

Another strange bug which may be related is the following: if I zoom in a page (say set it at 120 percents) then go to another tab and then come back to the page I zoomed in, the zoom is reset to 100 percents.

In the image below you will see a large photo with thumbnails to its left. I should be able to "mouse-over" the thumbnails to access the related image, or simply click it... but yesterday that all stopped working in Firefox. I just installed "Brave" and it all works fine. I do not and will not manually close my browser session every time I want to shut down my computer in order to get it to do what it's supposed to. Linux sends SIGTERM to all running processes on shutdown. Firefox isn't handling this correctly, obviously, because if it was, then my settings would be getting respected. SIGTERM is the standard signal sent to windows that need to close gracefully and are expected to still be functional.

NOTE: Do not provide windows-specific support to this thread. I am not running firefox on windows, and I do not possess a windows computer or license.

Hello, I just noticed that at the top of my settings menu there was a flag saying that I was not logged in to Firefox. I clicked the link and logged in. Bam, all my settings disappeared! I have special colours and fonts because I am partially sighted. It is now very difficult for me to use my browser. How can I get my settings back, please?

I saw where this was a problem with Netflix, Amazon Video and other sites with Fire Fox and that one person even used professional version and still had the same problem.

What I cannot see is where he got the video codex that allow Netflix to work on Fire Fox version 88, let alone this newest version that Mozilla has created.

I have found that Firefox does not play some audio files, for instance on Wikipedia and WaniKani, such as the audio on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erhu and https://www.wanikani.com/vocabulary/%E9%9F%B3. When inspecting network activity I can see that an attempt is made to load the audio on Wikipedia, but it does not play. On WaniKani however, no attempt is made. (WaniKani uses .webm for sound, maybe that has something to do with it?) The problem appeared after the update to Firefox 118 and persists in private browsing and troubleshooting mode, but does not occur in GNOME Web.
