Currently on Firefox Developer Edition 89.0b2, clicking menu > Help > Submit Feedback, takes me here: https://mozilla.github.io/imo-placeholder/

It's a blank "Coming Soon" page with no information.

I'm experiencing usability problems with the new theme and I'd like to share what I'm experiencing.

I hate that this June Firefox update has double or triple spaced my Bookmarks drop-down menu. I had just the right amount of folders and links that could expand to the bottom of the screen and now it goes well off the bottom of the screen and requires scrolling back up and down to use the links I use for the office on the 24" screen. Worse, my Firefox syncs with my laptop at home so on that 15" screen its even an even worse problem. I can't find a way to close them all up the way they used to be. There was nothing wrong with the browser as it was. If anyone wanted a new look, they could select different themes rather than force this arbitrary update on all of us.

I have very recently upgraded to Version 89.0 (Windows 10) and I can't help but wonder why some key characteristics have been changed for the worse. The display format for the Bookmarks list is now spaced so large that my Bookmarks no longer fit on a single screen, and I can find no adjustment available to users. Also, the new tab screen no longer shows the image of the page, making the display less useful. What was broken in these features that Mozilla found a need to "fix" them? Is there anything a user can do to "undo" these changes?

I have two laptops and a mobile phone that are connected to Firefox and have sync operating. One the laptops shows a location of Wrexham which is approximately correct. The other shows a location of Boardman, OR, United States, a place some 6000 miles away and of which I have never heard. Googling the location gives me no useful information, other than it is a small town with no special characteristics. A screenshot of part of the Firefox Accounts page illustrates what the situation is.

The laptop stated as in Boardman has a location set within Windows. That is not Wrexhan but is only a few miles from there.

I have used iplocation.net which gives me the location of my ISP, in England.

I sometimes use a VPN (for work) and when being used iplocation.net gives a different English location which I think is the locaton of the ISP for my Employer.

I am unsure what is going on here nor do I know what implications there are for my security. I do not seem to be able to fix this.

Can anyone help, please?

NY Times now won't load images (there's now a hold-to-see button; image & headlines vanish when you let go) on either side of the firewall & YouTube blacks out their link icons & the right column recommended / loaded-for-sequence play videos on the right column whether you're signed-in or not. Background images are now blacked out on some sites. None of this ever happened to me until I upgraded to FF 89.

Why is this? How do I stop it?

The array of Mac settings, FF settings, site settings is dizzying as we all know, which makes sorting out where the problem might lie a bear w/o help. Things worked great through 88. I allowed FF entree to simply install each new version. No prob. Now this. 89 is clearly a complete overhaul -- I've seen scores of comments from folks left aghast at these changes with no clear, comprehensive tutorial of 1) what exactly FF did & changed, 2) why FF did it & most importantly, 3) how to return which sections / settings to what you wanted & felt comfy with & which you're just stuck getting used to. Configuration ability is a huge aspect of computer living. That FF info alone would have lessened the heat I'm afraid you've been taking.

Anyway, back to mine... any clue as to how to reset whatever it is that needs resetting to drop this blockage? Many thanks for the assist!

Following a recent update to version 89, a previously stable Firefox installation is now almost completely unusable. Just getting to the point of getting to this page where I am writing this post has seen THREE Firefox crashes, as switching tab to my email so as to get the verification code for my mozilla account was seemingly too much for Firefox to handle. Viewing Facebook messages and scrolling up to see comments made earlier in the day sees the layout of the page completely screwed up (main content shifted to bottom right corner, scrollbar shifted elsewhere, part of the page blank) and at that point trying to switch to another tab creates a strange hybrid situation where some of the contents from both tabs is merged together and is then the only content visible no matter which tab is then clicked on. Using Google Maps works for about 30 seconds and then the entire page flashes repeatedly with every move of the mouse, before this triggers a browser crash. I can be reading content on a news website and suddenly the tab crashes for no reason, and in most cases the browser then crashes thereafter. Restarting the browser and the news page tab will be shown and begin to load but then immediately crashes. These are just some of the issues that have occurred within just the past 2 hours, but this is a cumulative effect as Firefox has been becoming increasingly unstable to this point after updating to version 89 earlier in the week.... No other changes have been made since updating Firefox, here has been no Windows 10 updates, no other applications have been installed or updated, no other software has been either added or removed.

I could run the previous version of Firefox for several days, leaving the computer running but idle for a few hours each day, and still come back and resume where I had left off without issue. Now with Firefox 89 it is struggling to even go 30 minutes without tabs or the entire browser crashing. When can we expct a fix, or is there otherwise a way to roll back Firefox to version 88 without having to do a full uninstall/reinstall...?

This is not a question but a statement of disappointment: I am very disappointed with the latest update. I really, really don't like the latest version. Web pages (i.e. YouTube and others take too long to load and execute), the search option on the new tab is useless (I hate that it goes to the URL bar), spacing in the bookmarks list is greater which makes it take longer to find a bookmark, UI updates are Meh, etc.., etc.., etc..

I've always stayed away from Google and MS browsers. Firefox has always been my browser and it now sucks just like the rest! I'm going back to v88.x until you get your shit together and fix things.

Firefox 89 has changed notification of FF updates so that it's no longer easily possible to find out what's changed in the update. Which means it's more difficult to find out what changes have been made and if it's worth the bother of updating. After an update is downloaded there's yet another popup re: restarting. How about going back to--notifying people of an update and no longer nagging at them until they do and then nagging people to restart their machines? Why become more & more like the corporate nannies, microsoft & google?

I also don't like that FF, which supposedly values user privacy, requires people to set up either a crowdcity account or use a pre-existing account (such as Facebook, twitter, et al) to provide feedback re: firefox. Since when does social media maintain privacy? And the more accounts you have to set up, the more likely that one of them will get hacked. I don't rarely use social media (may look at twitter accounts for traffic information, etc., but don't have a twitter account, etc) and don't have a FB account. I am tired of being required to set up yet another account--particularly since FF provides no information re: Crowdcity's privacy polices and if FF has actually verified any claims that Crowdcity makes regarding

Seems like FF doesn't want feedback from all users only some of them.

Is it possible to return to say FF version 80?

Since the problem occurs only on Firefox where the "Following" icon on my Pinterest home page is missing and not on other browsers, I'm wondering if the problem occurs because of some problem with my Mozilla Firefox. This has been going on for over a week. Would clearing my cookie cache help? Is there a danger than I would lose passwords to sites if I did so?

I'm facing speed differences between Chromium and Firefox. I checked all the hints how to speed up FF, nothing helped. I also de-installed FF complete (linux Mint) and reinstalled with new settings (initially raw system only) but difference between Chromium and FF is still given, FF appr. 130 MBit/s download and 150 upload, Chromium 190 -200 down, same for up. Checked with OOKLA, same server, repeated checks over 5 days. I have a 200MBit/s FTTH connection
