When trying to download a file using Firefox, it crashes. It does it with any file. I have, in my options, set to always ask location before downloading. When the box comes up right after clicking something to download so you can find location to put the file, the window pops up I move the mouse to search for location it crashes everytime. I have gone in and changed the option to do not ask and tried to change default location the exact same thing happens. I change the option to do not ask and leave it to default "download" location then it works just fine. I have Windows 10 64 bit. Firefox 65.0.1 (64bit). Does the same thing in safe mode, all extensions disabled. Can anyone help me with this?

I've reinstalled the latest Firefox version and tried everything I could think of with the security and preference choices. It's a quandary!

I should add this is happening if I go directly to the podcast site or use the link they sent.

The problem is that my user name password for an account stays on the signin page after I exit the page. After the password, there is a little slash that looks sorta like a comma, but thicker and darker. I dont want my password and username to come up without typing it in when I sign in to the account. How do I put a stop to this?

FF has been freezing EVERY single time I attempt to use it, even since I started using it in safe mode, and after I cleared the cache.

It freezes a few minutes after opening, and freezes my Mac as well. Takes at least 5 minutes before it unfreezes. I am not getting crash reports. I think this started right after the latest update.

My Firefox keeps crashing on startup, and when I try to enter into the preferences it crashes.

I am aware how to define what happens, when I click a link leading to a "normal" file extension like PDF, etc. But what can I do with "custom" extensions (.vzf)?

When I click a link leading to a .vzf file, it opens it as text, instead of downloading it. I would love to be able to define that firefox downloads these files, instead of always clicking "save target as".

Firefox doesn't display image objects embedded in text but instead appears to display a placeholder. See partial screen print. How do I get these images to display?

My question again, but not as the title: I have the animated sakura theme downloaded for firefox, but everytime that I open/reopen the browser, it disappears, and I have to remove it then add it again.

Is there anyway that I can prevent this and keep the theme?

Also was habt ihr aus dem Firefox gemacht. Es war früher ein toller Browser, aber jetzt ist es voller Probleme.

1) Manchen Film und Videos laufen unter Firefox nicht ab – aber unter MS-Edge doch. z.B bei ARTE Fernsehsender 2) In YouTube deckt das Kontextmenü: Seite speichern usw., der schwarze YouTube Kontextmenü ab. 3) Öfters funktioniert der YouTube Video-Steuerung unter Firefox nicht. 4) Gmx Mail lässt sich die Texte öfters nicht markieren, bzw. Text-marke setzten. MS Edge gibt es keine solchen Probleme. Wenn es so weiter geht, muss ich nach 20 Jahre umsteigen müssen.

I am trying to toggle across the "3-bar" menu button using the keyboard. F6 only selects the address bar, and then hitting Tab moves over to the search bar and then toggles through page elements. Alt or F10 only brings up the menu bar which does not have the functions I am looking for. For example, in Google Chrome I would hit Alt and then left-arrow across the menu button or extension buttons (alternatively F6 to select the address bar then Tab to toggle to the right across extension buttons).

Running windows 10 I can't open firefox in windows regular mode but it shows in task manager. It started yesterday not opening secure sites. I can use ms edge in windows regular mode but can't reach any mozilla sites. It says waiting for reply. I can run firefox in windows safe mode which I am using for this post, everything working.

I've run malwarebytes and ccleaner in safe mode several times also hijackthis. Firefox updated 2/1//2019. I have done a reinstall over firefox. Firefox 86 works the same.

I'm trying to use Babel through Firefox. It requires access to my mic. Clicking on the drop down menu on the address bar seems to indicate that permission is "allowed temporarily", however, the website is not detecting any input. I checked in the system settings of my laptop and I have the internal microphone selected, and within those settings, I can see that it is detecting sound.

When I view Permissions > Microphone > Settings..., it shows a dialogue box "the following websites have requested access to your microphone..." However, there are no websites populating that list.

Is there something I'm missing here?

After 65.0.1 update I could no longer print from Firefox. Other browsers print OK. When I check printer to see what is printing, it shows file spooling, but also shows zero bites and zero pages.

When I browse the web (mostly on youtube), when I try to open a link with the middle mouse button click, in 50% of cases, it opens that link in both the current tab and in the new one, so I have to go back on the current tab to keep it on the page it was before (this also happens on other sites besides youtube). I have tried to run Firefox in SafeMode, and this continues to happen, but with a little lower rate (about 30% of the times).

I use Firefox 65.0.1 (64-bit) on Windows 7.

If I click 'History' on the menu, I no longer get a drop down of my recently visited places, and 'Show All History' is also blank, although I can see 'Recently Closed Tabs' and 'Recently Closed Windows'.

Also, on opening a new tab, I used to see my most visited sites as large icons, with my recently visited places as icons underneath these.

I think this began happening around the time I updated to 65.0.1 Firefox also crashed just before this, so either could have caused the strange behaviour.

I have tried to restore the bookmarks using the Library toolbar, but the restore fails.

I hate losing my bookmarks and found history and the icons extremely useful. Please help me to get these back. Thanks.

I have a new ubunutu 16.04 machine which I recently connected to my workplace domain where multiple users login to the same machine with there workplace account names. When a user login to the machine it logins successfully but when try to open firefox get this message

your firefox profile cannot be loaded. it may be missing or inaccessible

I tried some suggested solutions:

sudo chmod -R 777 .mozilla/ rm -rf ~/.mozilla/ rm -rf ~/.cache/mozilla/ https://askubuntu.com/a/314915/304905

I tried all these but nothing worked. I wonder how I can fix this permanently from my machine local admin account so that when a new user logins to the machine for the first time firefox works without problems and without him having to do something?
