A tech from my ISP responded to my service request for weak internet browsing. He said that their company, Spectrum/Charter has difficulty working with Mozilla Firefox but works better with Chrome. He showed me and it did. Now, I've been with Mozilla & Thunderbird for over13 years and I don't want to change my default browser, I like Mozilla. Do you have a way around this alleged problem? As always, I try to solve any problem myself, but if I can't I appreciate the gift of your support. Thank you.

I have placed the following code inside my HEAD tags:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" > <link rel="icon" type="image/gif" href="/animated_favicon1.gif">

However, though the favicons show up just fine in IE 11, Firefox 50.1 does not display it. How do I fix this? I tried placing the code within the HEAD tags as well as between the HEAD and BODY tags. Instead, I get the same absolutely boring generic favicon at ever site, an "i" within a circle. :-(

The first image shows the way it I see it in Firefox 50.1 and the second shows it in IE 11.

I have been sporadically been getting a popup from ziashahalia.org that want me to download an "Urgent Firefox Update". I assume that it is a virus download because the Firefox website says that I have the latest update. Looks like you have a security leak that hackers are taking advantage of.

everytime I exit a page, I get a pop up with the firefox logo, the firefox colors that says urgent firefox patch and install now the most recent comes from zanaxmasterup.org which is registered to this guy https://www.thedailywhois.com/2016-12-17/zanaxmasterup.org a few days ago it was another site, and a few days before that another one, has firefox been hacked, is it safe to continue to use it

somebody using my PC wanted to access his Tiscali email account. As I was already logged onto Firefox he entered his email address and a message came up "sorry we do not recognise this email"

Not being too techsavvy, I thought you could access any email account on any browser.

Is this not the case, or am I doing something wrong?

Any comments would be appreciated.

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ tells me my browser is an older version. But the "about-box" tells me it's already updated. Any ideas what I could do? (besides resetting & losing all addons etc.)

Hello I'm frustrated with the frequency of crashes of Firefox.

Wishing to use "pocket" I attempted to sign in but had forgotten my password. Clicked to receive an email with instructions how to reset. The email advised me to continue within the next hour, and to follow the link and "Press the button" What button ? Tried every thing. So where is it ?

I have many bookmarks that I use very frequently. It would be helpful to have more than one toolbar for bookmarks. Having to "show more bookmarks" is a bother. Thanx

When I visit some sites "Adcleaner for Mac"is downloaded! How do I stop this from happening?

It and another .app are placed in my Applications folder and opened the dock. They won't be quitted. Have to quit Firefox and then remove them from Appl. folder and dock and empty trash. One hides in a ew folder called "MacOS" placed in the Applications folder. Lately ithas been coming through football (SEC) sites. My Security is on in Preferences but it happens anyway.

Was there even an update today? The normal urgent update pop-up appeared and I followed the instructions as usual, including 'restart Firefox' to apply the update. Firefox reopened on the third tab in the browser with an official-looking Firefox page showing congratulations your update is complete and another pop-up saying to download a file: firefox-patch.js from iengibarclaysstockbrockers.com The website doesn't appear to have anything to do with Mozilla or Firefox. The thing that made me question it though was appearing on the third tab instead of the last tab, where it usually does.
