Hi... I did a Firefox refresh today. Prior to the refresh, my bookmarks were displayed of the left side of the browser page... now they are not. I can still see and access my bookmarks if I go into manage bookmarks. But, I can not figure out how to get them displayed as before. Would appreciate any help anyone can provide. Thank in advance.

UPDATE: when I use the troubleshooting method, i.e, WHAT HAPPENS is it appears to be trying to work, but it's on again, off again, with more than one extension appearing to be the problem. Very mystifying. The only time the problem is completely fixed appears to be when I close all the extensions. (So far.)

HELP!!!!

When I open YouTube, the search videos all show an image. Then when I select one, for the last two days now, that ("front page) image is gone - although the video plays OK.

When I us my Chrome browser the video I've selected begins playing the instant I open the video; even when I've opened the link in a new tab.

I'm not very computer savvy but I followed a website a few months ago to edit Firefox so it'd default to dark mode. I think I went in and edited source code? I can't find the instructions anymore but I'd like to revert back to the original setting. How do I do that? I tried to refresh Firefox but it's still coming back with some websites in dark mode and some not. Please advise!

I'm using last release Firefox in a fresh install of Debian 12 with KDE. Trying to personalize colors and get a coherent style, I've installed Firefox Color and it worked fine, except for a few GUI elements.

Is there a similar setting for the menus? I mean in Firefox's menu bar or the ones popping over the page. The dropdown of the burguer menu and the bookmarks toolbar do get styled (I will include images showing the difference).

Feature "Reopen previous tabs" are under check, but after closing browser by "X" and reopening it, it'll start load Home page alone. This thing works correctly only by "Exit" button in pop-up menu.

This isn't happened on previous versions before and I want you to make it reopen those tabs again, because I don't feel comfortable closing the browser any other way than "X" window button.

Hi, I am seeing issues with autoscrolling in 119.0. In Rundeck for example you can "follow" the output of playbooks that are running so you can dynamically see the log as it is written. The autoscrolling in this field has stopped working. When manually scrolling in the field, more messages appear but the autoscrolling is no longer functional. I have also seen it on other places, though I don't have remember good examples to add, so I don't believe it is Rundeck causing the issue--we also haven't updated rundeck recently in our environment, so it shouldn't have changed since before 119.0 was released. Let me know if there is more information I can provide to diagnose the issue.

I got a new device and had to sign in and sync everything. When firefox asked about syncing I didn't realize it was asking about using the edge bookmarks to sync with. I tried to cancel but it was too late. Can I undo/remove firefox syncing to edge? Does this mean any changes in Edge will automatically change firefox now? I do not want edge bookmarks/settings. I want to get my old firefox settings back. If it matters: Windows 10 home on one device, Windows 11 on another. All browsers up-to-date.

I understand that the "Bookmarks Menu" Icon (see attached pic) can be used and then: 2) "Manage Bookmarks" can be selected (to get to the "Manage Bookmarks" <selection> screen).

But is there a 1-click Icon solution to access "Manage Bookmarks" (other than the keyboard one)? Or is there a link address that would access the "Manage Bookmarks" screen directly?

Suddenly, now on FF 119.0.0.1, JPEG Images no longer open in new tab when clicked with mid-mouse-button (previous behaviour, wanted), instead they get downloaded, safed to DL-folder, and maybe opened in 3rd-party-app. I tried to change the Open-with settings, but to no avail - there's no option to 'Open in Firefox'/Internally. (Only Open with../Download)

I've tried older guides on the topic, which didn't apply here it seems, also cleaned cache, etc.

Hi, I would like to customize the apps that firefox shows me when I click the address bar. In the attached image, you see youtube, google, reddit, wikipedia, twitter. I would like to remove some of these apps. How can I do that?

Also, there are suggested search engines on the bottom, including amazon, bing, ebay. How can I customize the apps which appear in that list? Again, I want to remove some of these apps.

Starting today I am finding it extremely hard to login to some websites. All Firefox does is just sit with a spinning circle after entering a user name and it locks up the browser to a point the I have to go to the Task Manager to stop the FireFox process. I have restarted my computer and refreshed FireFox. I have scanned my computer for malware using Norton 360, Malwarebytes, MSERT, and Windows Defender and all negative. I am having no trouble signing in to a site like https://my.account.sony.com using Edge but using FireFox now is impossible. This needs to be fixed.

This only happens when clicking a link from an email in Thunderbird most of the time it is a news platform. I have to copy the link and open a new tab in Firefox to have it work.

I have checked the boxes that say "Ask to save logins and passwords for websites" & "Autofill logins and passwords". I then can open a new tab and the autofill information appears however when I close browser then open again later it no longer autofills web sites and I have go back and recheck "Ask to save loging..." and it works. How to I get it to remember permanently?

My bank has recently switched the position of 'online' and 'bank name' in its login URL. How can I delete all history for the old URLs (e.g. Bankname*) without deleting history for all non-bank-related URLs?

I am having this issue where Firefox only keeps "Today's" history. I have thoroughly looked at the community's similar issue fixes.

I do not have Private Browsing on. I have set "Custom Settings History:

 -Remember browsing and download history
 -Remember search and form history

I do not have CC Cleaner or like apps and the one I do is on auto-manual and does not clear FF.

There is no reason for this. I would like to know when answering, what are a couple of likely causes for this. It appears by many queries here and on Google this has been an issue for years and FF seems not to want to fix it or know about it. Your help is appreciated.

I get some crash reports *occasionally* - meaning not all crashes produce a crash report - but I'm not sure what to do with them, they seem inconclusive.
