After updating to version 137 today, all my bookmarks are gone. I've tried looking under "Profiles" to see if they're on another profile following the instructions from https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-user-data-missing-after-firefox-update; there are two profiles (default and default-release) and both have no bookmarks. I also tried following the instructions at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-lost-or-missing-bookmarks to import a backup, but Firefox finds no backups to import from and there's no "Old Firefox Data" on my desktop to restore from. Search history and recently closed tabs history are intact, so it doesn't look like Firefox has completely destroyed the profile it was using before the update, just the bookmarks. Is there anything else I should try, or should I accept that this particular library of Alexandria has burned and just begin recreating the bookmarks?

I accidentally uninstalled firefox and need to recover passwords and bookmarks. Can this be done? I run an old dell latitude with Windows 10 and was trying to cleanup apps running in background at startup since it was running very slowly. At one point I saw 2 firefox icons. Uninstalled one and lost everything. Can you help me. Michael Evans

I cannot figure out how to add my favorite things to the toolbar. The toolbar doesn't even show up at the top of my page. I just get a string of random bookmark names under the address bar with the Other bookmarks folder at the end. I can't even get rid of "Finish Setup" which is the last one shown. How do I do find where the toolbar is hidden and get it to show? Once I do find it, how can I add my favorite items to the toolbar? I even had ask a question online to find out how to restore my most recent bookmark which was backed up in the documents folder on my computer. Any suggestions would be very helpful. I don't like the way Mozilla Firefox looks now. It isn't as easy to use. I have included what the top of page looks like now. I am sorry I didn't think to keep one of how it used to be.

I did my monthly Norton 360 system scans and updates last night, and maybe it is coincidence, but all of my Firefox bookmarks are now missing, and there is no browsing History showing. I have tried the import/restore steps but each date I try to restore from I get an error message - "Unable to process the backup file".

I reinstalled windows on my pc after syncing all my browser data (bookmarks etc) everything but some bookmarks, i have 4 folders and 2 of them had all that was in there and the other 2 where empty is it possible to get them back somehow?

I don't think I chose the right topic, but here goes. With every Firefox update, my bookmarks and everything always seemed to merge into the new update. My computer rebooted with updates today, and I get into Firefox to find that NONE of my bookmarks made it this time.

Everything is empty, and I don't have a backup anywhere because I didn't expect this. Yes, I know - always back up everything but honestly, I haven't had time.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Are my bookmarks hidden somewhere?

I have a lot of stuff for research for writing stored in my bookmarks, and I can't lose them.

Yesterday I got a prompt saying there was an update available for download. Today when restarting my laptop and opening Firefox ALL of my bookmarks are missing!!! My bookmark toolbar is also empty. Where did all of this important stuff go? Please help me restore this my information asap. I am freaking out!

I don't come from an IT/Tech background so this has become a hassle for me. I have a "Old Firefox Data" file on the my desktop and that seems to have sub-folders with my bookmarks, sessions, logins, etc. How do I retrieve those to the new Firefox browser.

Firefox did an automatic update today. But now all of my saved bookmarks, saved passwords and items are gone in the new version. How can I retrieve them or return to my previous version of firefox?

I have 374 saved Passwords & User names in Firefox on my computer. Just bought a new PC and want to transfer the data to firefox or chrome on new unit. How can I do that? Is it possible to transfer the data?

I just closed FF (latest version) and opened it again and all my tabs are gone. I had a private FF window open, so I am guessing this is the cause.

Is there a way to get get them back?
