Firefox keeps randomly opening multiple new pages. It does not happen when I start my computer but randomly at any time it suddenly pops up new Firefox windows and then resets the page when I try and search the web. It does this to such an extent that I can't even work on the computer. I have Firefox on my devices and they are working fine.

Ever since I upgraded to version 123.0.1, I am constantly getting slowness on websites stuck in "Performing a TLS handshake..." Eventually the websites load, but it's frustrating. I have read about the various solutions and have tried the following: Disabled IPV6 Refreshed Firefox Reloaded Firefox Disabled and removed all extensions Restart in safe mode Create new profile

This was not happening in version 122 and before. Microsoft Edge does not have this problem, but I prefer to use Firefox. I am running Windows 11 Pro. Any ideas?

whenever I launch Firefox, my Steam downloads plummet to 0. Just sitting on the home screen (blank) is enough to do that, or navigating around at all. I've tried a new download of FF, private browsing, no extensions enabled, and nothing seems to make a difference. Which drive I write to doesn't make a difference, either.

Specs: 22H2 Windows 10 i5-12600k AMD 5600XT graphics card FF 123.0.1

I often like to have 2 browser windows open with multiple tabs going on each window. Recently, however I noticed that whenever I watch a video in full screen mode on one monitor then I switch focus to the second browser window to do other various activities, the video playing on the other monitor will sometimes exit out of full screen mode and continue playing in the original embedded small screen size. So far I've tried disabling all but the most essential extensions, put the theme back to the default mode, made sure my graphics card is fully updated, and even attempted a few setting changes people have recommended for fixing similar issues, but nothing seems to work.

As of right now, the only workaround would be to use the picture in a picture mode and put that to full screen, but that isn't ideal as picture in picture mode is set to be "always on top". I could also use a different browser, like Chome on my second monitor which doesn't seem to cause the video to exit full screen mode, but again, I typically prefer to use firefox for most things online.

Anyway, I'm now out of ideas on what to try to get firefox to behave in the way I want it to.

I've been having an issue lately where random text I've written is being inserted into other areas of my paragraphs in online text blocks. This mainly happens when I hop between paragraphs and try to edit content.

IE: If I wrote this statement and went back to correct something above, this sentence would "somehow" get added into the spot where I'm editing. It makes NO sense and is only happening within Firefox. Is there a way to fix it? I've noticed this happening on both Facebook and Indeed now too...so, I think it could be more of an issue with Firefox than certain sites.

It's so bad that I might have to stop using it entirely.

I've tried creating new profiles, disabling all add-ons, and disabling Enhanced Tracking Protection; none helped.

As you can see in the video (about the 00:16 mark) it randomly stops properly loading pages from the website, even in new tabs. The only temporary remedy is to either close and re-open FF, or press Ctrl+F5 (which I did at the end of the video).

I must add that it can happen even when loading the website for the first time in the session.

Hi, I've upgraded to Windows 11 today and couldn't open Firefox since. Things I've already tried:

• Reinstall Firefox and delete all old files (Appdata & Program files)
• sfc /scannow and DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
• Windows compatibilty mode
• Firefox Troubleshoot mode won't open either
• ipconfig /release & /flushdns & /renew
• netsh int ip reset & netsh winsock reset

When opening Firefox in any way, i get a white window/just the window border which immediatly closes. When trying to start troubleshoot mode, the small window has the same issue.

I also checked the crashlogs and none were generated. The Windows event-logger also has no entries.

When you click on the player in YouTube, it lights up, how to turn off the backlight. If I click on the play button, the button is highlighted and I can’t press the spacebar to press stop or play

Clicked link populates Firefox but doesn’t open site. This started after a Firefox update a month or two ago. I have to highlight the address window and hit enter to go to site.

On one web site (see attachments), my location is being detected as being outside USA while using firefox desktop browser, yet on the same computer, my location is being correctly detected as being inside USA.

You will see the asian words. When I change the pull dawn tab ("Saudi Arabia") to "USA", the asian lettering does not convert to English.

Not sure how to fix this.

Whenever I open a local HTML file, Firefox tab will crash. This happens if the HTML file size is big (>4MB), smaller file doesn't crash.

I've tried opening the file on Chrome, it doesn't crash and open just fine. So it seems like this is a bug with Firefox.

On fully up-to-date Windows 10 Pro desktop, Mozilla 123.0 fails to fully update to 123.0.1, leaving behind several obsolete files and an additional version under Control Panel>Program and Features. This issue has been ongoing for at least three software updates. Only simple solution is to fully uninstall, clean directories and register and reinstall. Fairly inconvenient.

I am trying to export the passwords collected on Firefox and I enter my Firefox account password, as indicated and SAVED in my list of passwords and in the account. But it is rejected. Why?

Firefox has been crashing constantly for a few days now. Every time I start the program, it starts using more and more GB of RAM until it crashes at over 100 GB. I have already deleted and reinstalled the program and cannot explain why it is using so much memory. Can anyone help me?

I have Weather Network among my regularly used bookmarks at the top of my screen, but this is the only site that causes a video crash. If I click on Weather Network, I get to the main page and usually a video will start to play as I scroll down. If I scroll past the video, it changes to PIP in the bottom right corner. Once I close Firefox, my mouse cursor freezes for a moment and then all 4 screens go blank. They try to come back on, but usually just flash and I only see a portion of what I should see for a brief moment before it goes blank again and continues this cycle. I try to use Task Manager, but I only get the Task Manager dialogue box with no text, just the window with a coloured background. If any thing does finally come up, I usually restart Windows Explorer and all of my problems go away, but most of the time I have to to a full restart of the PC. I did manage to get video of the crash on my phone.

Problem. The Firefox browser does not use the hardware root of my video card (Radeon HD 5550 video card). Online video is very slow on some sites (everything is fine on YouTube). There are also artifacts in the form of a flickering horizontal stripe on the second monitor when duplicating the screen (this stripe is very annoying). In the Chrome browser everything works fine after forcibly enabling hardware acceleration (in the Chrome browser I enabled the “Override software rendering list” parameter by changing the switch to the “Enabled” position) in the Firefox browser I changed the “layers.acceleration.force-enabled” parameters from “false” " to "true", but that didn't help. I have recently downloaded Firefox on Windows 11. When I first installed it, it worked fine, but it crashed and I couldn't open it again. When I try to open Firefox, a "Troubleshoot Mode" window flashes for less than a second and closes. About 8 months ago, on a different computer with Windows 10, had the exact same problem. I thought it was just because it's ancient, but it does the same thing on my well-functioning computer. I have tried the Microsoft Store Firefox and downloading from the website. I have reinstalled and restarted several times, and my computer is up to date. I do not use any 3rd-party security software. I still cannot launch a Firefox window at all. I love Firefox on mobile and I really want to use it on PC. Thanks for your help!!

I often need to have Firefox open on half my screen and another doc open on the other half.

Every time I click the 'minimise' button on the top right of my Firefox screen, it freezes then crashes. I have to close it, reopen it, and then it will minimise. This has been happening for months.

Any ideas?
